I heard something moving around, and I slowly opened my eyes. I held Kamui close to me, we were on the floor in the living room. I sat up, and released Kamui gently, as though not to wake him. Anatsu was asleep next to me, his hand on my waist. I picked up his hand, and threw it onto himself. I slowly got up, and looked around. I don't see anything, I thought.

"Zashiki?" I whispered.

He didn't reply, and the movements stopped. Suddenly a hand wrapped around my mouth, and I struggled. I elbowed, kicked, head butted and bit my attacker. They didn't let go, and I was dragged into my bedroom. My attacker turned on the light, and I saw Sou. He released me, and I sat up glaring daggers at him.

"Sou? What the hell!" I whispered loudly.

"Sorry to wake you. I sensed the presence of a demon near you today, and I came to check up on you. Sorry about the ridiculous hour, but I just got finished with a late night banishing," Sou quickly explained.

"Alright, I know about the demon. So? He's not causing any trouble, I have him under control," I replied, crossing my arms.

"But he needs to be destroyed. He's an abomination, that child," Sou said.

I froze. He was talking about Kamui? I thought.

"If you touch him, I will not hesitate to kill you. Yes, I said Kill you," I said, grabbing onto Sou's throat.

"He's a-" "He's human you idiot! He's training to become a priest. He didn't inherit the powers of an incubus, except for his looks. Now, don't you ever say anything about hurting Kamui, or, I will not hesitate to, as I said before, kill you," I explained, cutting him off.

I released Sou, and he looked at me.

"Explain the demonic presence then," Sou said.

"Anatsu is a demon, you idiot. I have him under control, no, unless you're here to tell me someone in my family is dead, get the hell out of my house at one in the morning," I snarled.

Sou turned and left my room. I followed him out, and ushered him out of my apartment door. Once he was gone, I turned around, and saw Kamui and Anatsu sleeping peacefully. I'll keep 'em both safe, I thought. I suddenly remembered that Miko and Kagura should've came to pick up Kamui a while ago. I went to my phone, and saw I had a voice message. I played it, and it was Miko. She explained that she would come and pick up Kamui in the morning. I sighed, I'll actually have to....stay at Miko's, I thought, thinking about Sou's threat.

I was up for the rest of the night, and decided to put up some talismans around the house. I finally found Zashiki, who had fallen asleep in my closet. When Kamui and Anatsu woke up, I made breakfast, and once they finished, I cleaned up. I sighed, and Anatsu excused himself to use the restroom.

"Katsune! Kamui!" I heard Miko call from the living room.

Kamui and I went to the living room, and we were greeted by Miko. Kamui ran over and greeted his mother. He held hr hand, and Miko turned to me.

"Thank you so much for watching him. If there's anything I can do to repay you, let me know," Miko said.

"Well, actually, there is. I need to stay at your place for a while, if that's okay," I spoke up.

Miko said it was okay, and that her parents were at the hot springs for a few weeks. I told her I'd be a few minutes, and would come home with them. She nodded, and Kamui and her went to the kitchen. I raced to my room, and found Anatsu curled up, in his tiny form. I looked at the talisman on the window, and I knew he'd tried to escape. I couldn't deal with this at the moment, and I tossed him into my bra. I paced some clothes, and called work, telling them I'd be out for a family emergency for a few weeks. I told my landlady and Zashiki I'd be gone, then, I straightened everything up, and met up with Miko and Kamui.
