"Anatsu! Anatsu!" I exclaimed happily.
Anatsu ran up and twirled me around. He kissed my forehead gently, and I kissed his cheek.
"Katsune, what's with you? You seem happier than usual," he said.
"I'm still happy that I told you I loved you!" I exclaimed, nuzzling my head into his chest.
"Well, at least now you've admitted it, and it gives me more power, than I thought," he said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Well, when Kagura said that winning a girl's heart is more fulfilling than her body.....I never expected this much power," he said.
"Wait......so all you wanted was to win my heart? You never really....?" I looked up at him, sadness and hurt in my eyes.
"No! No! No! I do, Katsune Ise, I love you too," he said, kissing my cheek.
"You mean it?" I asked.
"Yes, I love you too," he said.
Anatsu leaned in to kiss me, when everything started to fade.......
I woke up, early in the morning, to the smell of smoke. I coughed, and covered my mouth with my sleeve. I got up, and made my way to the living room. No fire. I went to the kitchen.....and saw Kagura with a frying pan on the stove, and a fire extinguisher in his hands.
"What are you doing?" I coughed.
"Making breakfast!" He exclaimed.
"I mean, what are you doing here?" I coughed out again, rushing to open widows.
When I got back to the kitchen, I found some burnt eggs in the frying pan. Kagura sat at the table, uncaring.
"Miko kicked me out," he said.
"She what?" I asked.
"She put a barrier around the house, because I apparently 'annoyed her with wanting to have sex'," he said, using air quotes.
"Sounds like you.....but why would you come here?" I snarled.
I began cleaning up the mess he made, when Anatsu came in, yawning.
"I decided to stay with family," he said.
"Not even close," I said, Technically, he's not my family.....I thought.
"Oh, not you, my brother," he said.
I froze, and I was pretty sure I was about to look like a demon myself.
"Your...what?" I asked.
"My brother, Anatsu," he said.
I completely stopped what I was doing. I stiffly walked to Kagura, and grabbed him by the ear. He followed me, as I walked over, and grabbed Anatsu by the ear. They protested, but I didn't let go, until I threw them to the floor, on the cushions, that were my couch.
"I want an explanation......and now!" I narrowed my eyes at them.
"You see, Anatsu is my brother," "Kagura's my brother," "We have the same dad, and all...." They continued, back and forth.
"So, yeah, I decided to leave the demon realm," Anatsu said.
"Because he thought he could try and find a girl he loved, as much as Miko and I love each other," Kagura replied.
"But I got distracted......That's when you saw me by the hot springs," Anatsu finished.
"Okay, just, next time tell me if it's this important. 'Kay?" I said calmly, heading back into the kitchen.
