The Eyes of Enivid

Is something there

When we started to hear Hunk barking, we thought it could of just been something he saw. So we went on with our game. But as we went on, hunk just kept barking and barking. It started to bother us, a lot actually. We tried to shut him up, but he didn't stop.
     "Let's go see what's up with him." Kansas offered, grabbing a flash light. We all agreed, grabbing our flash lights. I brought my pocket nife just in case of any attacks. "What is it hunk?" I asked my dog. He only walked forward for a response. "Lead to it, hunk!" Josh said to him.

Hunk moved forward, still barking a little bit. I got more curious about this as we moved farther from camp. Kansas and kyle's flash light dyed out of power, but we still had light to see.       We then got to a point where hunk stopped barking, his tail in between his legs and he started to cower away.
       "What is it boy?" I asked him. He only whined as he moved to the back of the group. "Uhh, maybe that'll answer your question." Kansas said pointing out at something. I looked where she was pointing at, and saw two glowing amber eyes hiding in a bush.

"What is that?" Josh asked for anyone to answer him. "It could be a little cat." Kansas said. I only looked at the glowing eyes as it stared back at me. Kyle stepped closer to it, slowly and carefully. I was gonna ask what he was doing ,but I stayed quiet instead. The eyes seemed to gaze up at kyle as he got close enough. He slowly reached his hand out.
     "Kyle..." I finally whispered out. He didn't notice that I said anything, and continued what he was doing. He let out a sigh and looked back at us. "I think it's just a cat." He said. I sighed with releaf, my body felt a little relaxed.

Kyle moved his hand back a little. But then something bit his arm, and yanked him twords itself without hesitation. We all gasped at this. "Kyle?!" Josh yelled out. Screams of agony and pleading calls came from kyle. We all ran twords the sounds, I got out my pocket nife and shot my flash light out. What we saw thou, was terrifying to me.
      The thing that got kyle was hovering over his body. It's body structure looked a little human, but it had more different things to it.
     It had a human torso, four arms with huge claws, and spikes going down it's spine. It had a human head with sharp cat like ears and eyes, and it had a mouth filled with Sharp fangs. It's tail was lizard like, along with its legs.

When we got a good look at it, it shot it's head at us. I froze, I didn't know what to do. I didn't want it to attack me. And I honestly didn't want it to kill my friends ether. Kyle's wounded body tried to drag himself away from the creature. But it got a hold of him.
       At that moment, I should of just done something, anything that would of saved kyle! But I just had to stand there, and watch my friend get torn apart! I just had to be the friend who'd watch that thing rip kyle's heart out from his chest! And that's not even the worst part!.... The worst part was...that when it happened....kyle's pathetic and lifeless eyes stared back at me as I watched.
        "Kyle...kyle no!" Josh yelled out to his brother. My heart sank as he yelled. The creature faced it's direction to josh, and then swiftly charged for him. I then finally got the since to move, I dashed over to free josh.

I viciously stabbed the thing in random places, it wasn't doing much, but I only seemed to get it's attention. The last stab I threw at it, only made it agitated. With one of its arms, it grabbed my stomach area and picked me up. I struggled to get out of its grip, but I had no luck. I looked down to the ground and noticed that it was standing on it's two legs. I seemed so high from the ground level, the thing must of been like 7ft tall.
         A low and demonic growl came through the creatures throat as I slowly looked back up. It looked at me with a scorge of anger, it's lips curled back with the sharp fangs showing. I knew at this moment that I was gonna die soon. I amiditly shut my eyes as I imagined the monster tearing my body apart. If it really was about to end me, then I was just ready  for it.

Just then, I heard Kansas shouting out to the creature. I opened my eyes and turned my head to Kansas. She had my camera, she clicked the button uncontrollably with the flash on. The monster cried out a ear piercing screech, and freed me and Josh. We both backed away from it. Kansas gave us the order to run from here, so we all did.
         I didn't look back until josh triped over something. I helped him up, but then noticed that the creature was getting closer to us.
