About a week later I got a call from the telephone as I was doing push ups. "Hello?" "Dandy, it's Heather. I have something to tell you." "Yes go right ahead. You weren't interrupting anything important." "Oh my dear Dandy, I'm pregnant. You're going to be a father." I took a sip of water from the glass and crushed it in my hand.

It was bleeding and Elena walked in. She quickly bandaged it up. "What do you mean? I wore a condom. Impossible. I want proof. I simply can't be a father right now!" "I took a test. I urinated on a pin and it turned black." "Come over right now! Bring the pin and another one for another test."

"Yes! I'll be over soon!" She hung up and I sat there. Mother came in. "I heard the news over the phone Dandy. Is it true? Did you use protection?" "No mother I did use them! Apparently they did not work! Now what? I guess I'll have to take things into my own hands. I'm not ready. I simply can't be! I was put on earth for one reason! To kill! Leave me alone! I'll take care of this problem. Goodbye."

"As you wish dear." My mother exited and I heard a knock. Heather entered holding a pin and the black one. "Now, I'm going to show you proof. It is real." She went into the bathroom and came out thirty seconds later. The pin went from a gray to a black. "Now you see?" She held back her tears and I hugged her.

"I could've sworn that they were fine." "Was it too tight maybe?" "It didn't feel right when I put it on. But I can't afford to have a child right now. Can you please get rid of it or give it up?" "Yes I'll get it done today. I'll be leaving again now." I nodded and looked away. My ghost Twisty appeared. "Yes I know I was supposed to be cautious. I did and now it will be taken care of." Twisty nodded and went away.

A few hours later there was another knock at the door and Heather appeared again. "It's done and now we can enjoy eachother again. How about a picnic? I'll bring cheese, wine, and chocolate." "Sounds wonderful I'll pack sandwiches and we can lay in the meadows," I began making sandwiches. Heather smiled as she collected the other products.

Finally, she carefully packed the wine glasses. I held the basket and her hand. She opened the door and we were off. As we arrived in the meadow, I noticed beautiful flowers and picked her a few. She awed and laid out the blanket. I laid out the food and passed her a fork. The cheese tastes so sweet and the white chocolate was lovely. She poured me wine and we said cheers. "I remember the very first day I met you. You're eyes shined bright and stared at me from across the hotel lobby. I winked and picked up an attraction paper. You walked over and we talked about life for awhile."

"It was a beautiful day I have to admit. The popcorn there was amazing. And then the movie we saw Singin' in the rain was so cute. What a perfect day even though there is no such thing as perfect," Heather swirled her wine around. I laughed and combed my hair. It suddenly started to rain. I ate a piece of cheese and Heather laughed. "Should we go?" Heather looked up at the sky. "No it'll clear up. Give it a second." The rain didn't clear up, instead it rained harder. "Ok maybe not?" Heather hugged me and gave me a kiss.

I tackled her down onto the blanket and we rolled around. "Hey that's not fair. I got you first!" Heather giggled and took my hand. "You've got very strong hands you know." "Is that so?" I popped a piece of chocolate into her mouth and she licked her lips. "Mhm I love the whole idea of a picnic. Just going outside and enjoying nature. It's when we can really enjoy ourselves," Heather smiled and pulled me down with her.

"It's unique with rain. Just listen to the pounding. Are you sure you want to stay in a relationship. I've told you before it's dangerous. You know I've killed people before." "I understand that and I'm accepting you. You're different from most. You stand out. I don't care about your past. You are who you are and I'm not looking for anything special." "Alright then, my love grows for you every day. I'm sure you've figured that out by now."

She smirked and I finished off the last of the food before the rain made the blanket sink deep into the mud. It was dry, green, grass before. I threw a mud ball at her. "Oh dear! My hair! It's all muddy now! This will take hours to get out!" "Oops! I'm sorry Heather I was having too much fun. I'll help you up." I got up and took her hand but she knocked me back down and threw a mud ball back at me. "Hey!" I pushed her down. We got into a mud ball war and rough housed. "I'm just messing with you. It won't take that long to get the mud out. Besides look at you!" I looked down and laughed. I was covered from head to toe. Mother would buy me new clothes.

"We should probably leave now while we can!" Heather was squinting and rolled her eyes. "Yes but one more thing. I bent down on my knee and held out a small, velvet box. She gasped. "Heather Evelyn Davis, will you marry me?" She jumped up and down and I fell over once more. "Yes! Yes! Yes! I will! She kissed me deep into the mud. "Ok time to go!" I slid the ring onto her finger and she grabbed the basket. I rolled up the blanket and we hopped into the car.
