We were talking with the wedding planner and Heather was looking beautiful as ever. She winked and I smiled. "Ok I've got the guest list already done and flowers. The wedding will be perfect in this house. We need a flower girl." "I have one in mind. My dear and very distant cousin Petunia. She just turned eight," I said eating a strawberry.

"Great, can you contact her?" "Yes I'll tell mother to do it. Mother! I need you to get ahold of your sister and ask if Petunia to be the flower girl!" "Yes Dandy! Already calling!" I ready over wedding papers and Heather fell to the floor. "Oh my god! Heather! Are you alright?" I took her to my room and say her on the couch. "Um I don't know--I feel nauseous." I carried her to the sink and she threw up like a mad man. She became all pale and came down with a fever. "I'll call the doctor right away."

The doctor arrived within minutes. She told him all her feelings. "Has your?--" "No it hasn't come." "Well Ms. Davis there's only one possibility. Congratulations you're pregnant." Heather looked down and around. "But that's not possible. I had an abortion weeks ago." "They can fail you know. Extremely rare, but it can happen." The doctor left and we thanked him. "Well ok then. What do I do?" Heather crossed her arms. "Keep the child. We raise it together as a family."

"Are you sure?" "Yes and I may not be a perfect example of a father but I'd like to try." "Ok then. I have to admit I am excited and scared at the same time." "I'll be right at your side." "Of course." Heather gave me a kiss and I left her in my bed to rest. I went into the kitchen and mother was there. "Well dear I was able to get Petunia to be the flower girl. My sister Martha will be coming over with Petunia to discuss plans as well. They should be over in less than ten minutes."

I nodded and the planner Daisy returned from a phone call. "Ok so we have the dress and everything for the soon to be bride. In fact where is she?" "She's sick and pregnant." Daisy looked surprised. "Oh no. I don't think the dress will fit by then. I'll contact the manager of the dress shop." Oh god. More and more things were getting complicated. I really hope this works. I combed my hair and bushed my teeth to look fancier. The door bell rang. "I'll get it mother!"

"Martha! Petunia! Hello! Happy belated birthday by a day. Please please come in. Refreshments are on the table." "Thank you Dandy," Martha took a glass of punch and Petunia starred. "Martha! My lovely sister and Petunia! You've gotten so big young lady." "Thanks." She twisted her short blonde hair and sat down on a chair. "So my dear nephew is getting married. Congrats. Where is Heather?" "She is not feeling well at the moment. She is also pregnant."

"Ah then. Lovely. But how will the dress fit?" Martha asked. "Daisy, the wedding planner is speaking with the dress creator as we speak." "Good then. Solved." Daisy walked into the room. "So I spoke with the creator and the dress is fine. It stretches and is very comfortable for pregnant women. She is not the first."

Heather walked out. "Well my fever has gone down and I feel fine. I guess I won't be drinking anytime soon so we will need to stock up on soda." Everyone looked at her. "What? Just saying! Sure get wine for everyone else but I want soda. If that's not a problem." "No not at all honey." I gave a fake, weak smile and turned around. My eyes went big and Daisy gave a thumbs up. "Soooo Petunia I'm glad you'll be our lovely, little flower girl. Do you walk well in heels?" Daisy sat down next to her.

"Well mommy taught me how months ago. I do every once in a while for fun." "Great. I have these nice heels in my car. I'll get them out and you can do your best walking." Daisy ran out and got the heels. "Mommy will I get to wear makeup?" "Yes Petunia. You'll get to wear it to the wedding and then not again for a long time." "Ok! I love being pretty!" Petunia gave a wide, bright smile and gave Martha a hug.

"Back with the heels!" We all gasped and Daisy helped Petunia into her heels. She got up and walked a bit. She then fell and said, "I don't think I'm very good at this. Do I have to wear these?" "Yes honey. You'll be fine. Hey ten seconds is better than two the last time you wore them!" "Yeah I guess so. I'll try again." Petunia got back up and started walking. At first she wobbled but then got better. She was straighter and steadier.

"Great! Keep practicing every day and I'll call the dress store to get your dress fitting as well," Daisy took the heels off of Petunia and I winked. "For your time and appreciation, I'm giving you a lollipop." I handed my cousin a rainbow lollipop. She raised one eyebrow and said thanks. "Ok everything is all set. I'm having my assistants take care of the decorations for the wedding in eight months. Now we can relax. Everything's falling into place."

I relaxed and sat down. My mother and Heather sat down as well. I got up and grabbed us all water bottles. "Cheers to a wonderful time in our lives," Daisy raised her water bottle. We all did too. "Cheers!" We clanked and took a sip of our waters. "So how did you guys get engaged anyway?" Daisy said curiously. "Well long story but it involved a lot of mud, rain, grass, and a picnic."

"Oh we have plenty of time now Dandy." "Ok then. I'll tell the story." I got deeper and deeper into the story and they all laughed. We had a good time and Petunia licked her lollipop. She even asked questions herself. I couldn't wait to get married in eight months to the love and beauty of my life. Amazing times. Memories forever.
