I think of you
Whenever I'm alone
So please don't go

A bird chirped happily on a branch deep in the forest outside Storybrooke, oblivious to anything else that was happening. Suddenly the ground in the middle of the clearing started giving way and morphing into a swirling portal, frightening the bird away. Pan landed heavily on the ground, the portal violently closing behind him. He groaned and rolled over onto his stomach, slowly pushing himself to his feet. What little magic had seeped back into him had gone when he had pushed the monster back, and now he just felt...empty. Even so, a small smile passed over his lips. "Merida we made it-"
The words died on his lips as his eyes scanned the clearing, realizing he was alone.
He muttered curses under his breath, his eyebrows drawing together in anger. He'd gone through far too much to get her back, and now she had disappeared. Or had she even come through the portal with him? He glanced at the ground and nudged it with his foot, but it was hard and unyielding. The portal was gone, and if Merida was trapped in there, she was gone too. He took off into the woods, trying to get a bearing on where he was. He was without magic and without direction, but he would find her. He was Peter Pan after all.

A driver on the highway slammed on his brakes as parts of the road fell away into a swirling mass, carving a dark pit in the center of the road. His car skidded to a stop and he shielded his eyes from the debris. As the dust cleared, the figure of a girl was standing on the road where the hole had been, staring at the car. They stared at each other for a moment more before she stumbled off the road into the woods. "Gotta stop eating twinkies," he mumbled to himself.

Pan darted through the woods, not even thinking about how he was going to get back to Neverland without his magic. He'd think about that another time, right now he needed to find her. He knew he wouldn't get any help from the heroes, and god knows he wouldn't even ask for help. He would have to look elsewhere. Pan's green eyes scanned the street as he waited until the traffic died down before darting across the street. The bell in Mr Gold's shop rang angrily as he slammed the door behind him. Rumple glanced up, an unreadable look on his face at seeing Pan beat up and streaked with blood. "Merida's gone, I need you to find her," he demanded.
"That's interesting. Since you were in here not a day ago trying to kill me," Gold responded, looking steadily at Pan. The boy's jaw tightened slightly as he tried to keep his temper. He had to do this for Merida.

Merida's head pounded as she slumped against a tree, trying to make sense of this all. Pan was nowhere to be found, and she had no idea where she was. Luckily, her bow and arrows were still slung across her back, in case she got in trouble. She slowly started walking, knowing sooner or later she'd run into something that would tell her where she was; and maybe where Pan was.

"I don't let people go back on their promises," Rumple reminded Pan as he rummaged through his cabinet. He finally found the vial he was looking for, and slid it across the counter to Pan. "And if people try to go back on their deal, things don't end well," Gold said, his eyes locking with Pan's. The boy nodded, perfectly understanding the terms of their deal. He'd never have to follow through with what Rumple wanted. It would never come to that.

"Merida! Meridaaaa!" She spun around as she heard a familiar voice calling her name. "Pan!" Finally he appeared in her vision, and a smile crossed her face as she crushed him into a hug, burying her face in his neck. "We're going home now," he whispered, his hand intertwining with her own.

Weeks had passed since he had got Merida back, and they'd made the most of their time having adventures around Neverland. It took a bit of adjusting to get used to not having his magic anymore, but he never regretted giving it up. One day, Merida came to him with a strange look on her face. "Pan? Did we ah....do anything while I was the demon?"
He frowned slightly. "What do you mean?"
She rolled her eyes. "Did we....sleep together and I don't remember it? Because we dont-"
"Okay I get it, I get it," he interrupted uncomfortably. "I might....possibly...have slept with you-...her-...it- one night," Pan admitted.
"Well that explains a few things," she raised an eyebrow at him, and Pan suddenly felt a cold chill run down his back. "Why did you ask?" He slowly said.
"I think I'm....we're...gonna have a baby," she winced slightly and looked at him, not sure what his reaction would be.
"What? Are you sure?" He said lowly, his eyes dropping to Merida's stomach.
"Yes I'm sure," she huffed. "This wouldn't have happened if you'd kept to our agreement about not-" he interrupted her by taking her wrist in his hand and tugging her closer, his hands sliding down to her waist. "I'm sorry," he whispered, his lips hovering against her ear.
"Its okay...we'll do this like we do everything. Together," she whispered back, her eyes locking with his.
"To get you back, I promised Rumple our firstborn child." A cold fist closed around Pan's heart as he said the words, the hollow tone ringing in his ears.
