Tattoos in Japan are seen relatively....bad.

In some places, people whose have tattoo(s) are prohibited to get in.
Some, prohibit even if you're covering it. Others, let you in if you're covering your tattoo(s).

This happens because many years ago, tattoo were used to 'mark' the criminals and, also, yakuzas used to use tattoo as a 'symbol'.

But it isn't everyone that think tattoo is bad!
Usually, just some more conservative ones that think like that. The young ones are more likely to open minded and curious.

Anyways, watch out if you're going to Japan and have tattoo(s).
