The beach by my new house is nice. Not as amazing at my mother said it was, but nice. After I unpacked my suitcases, I put on a swimsuit and cover  up then walked to the beach.

The sand between my toes calmed my stress that was caused from the decision to move here. I walk to where the tide ended and sat down. I got out my iPod, scrolled trough my playlist until I came to the song My Escape by Ravenscode. It is one of my favorite love songs, it's comforting. I then started to observe my surroundings. A group of shirtless guys were playing volleyball to my right while a crowd of girls wearing bikinis tried to get their attention by trying to look "sexy." Truthfully, with the way they are fluttering their eyelashes, it looks like something is in their eyes. They also just look fake. I have a strong hatred for people like them. They disgust me.

Okay, totally different topic but do you find the beach as relaxing as me? The sound of the waves hitting the sand, the feeling of sand in between your toes, the sound of the seagulls as they fly freely over your head. It has the ability to calm me down in an instant, even if I've had the worst day possible. As I watch the waves turn white at the tip (if someone can comment what song that's from, I'll be amazed), I hear the sound of rapid footsteps in the sand rushing in my direction. I look behind me to see the girl I met earlier running towards me with a mystery person slowly strolling behind her.

"Hi Alyssa, what are you doing here?" I ask her once she is close enough to hear me.

"Hi! Hi! Hi! My friend gave me a big bottle of Mt Dew and I got really hyper!! So I decided to waste my energy here!! This is really good because now you can meet her! Yay! Yay! Yay!" She basically shouted in response as she jumped around where I was sitting. She then started to spin toward her friend. Once she was in front of her, she grabbed her wrist and dragged her over to me. "This is Lexi!! Her real name is Alexis but everybody called her Lex or Lexi! Say hi Lexi!! I'm going to go run over there!!" Alyssa shrieked then took off running.

"Um, hi?" I ask the mystery girl supposedly names Alexis.

"Hey, as you most likely know, my name is Alexis, but please call me Lexi or Lex. Nice to meet you." She told me as she held out her hand for me to shake.

I took her hand in mind and shook it. "My name is Alice. She gets hyper easily doesn't she?" I ask Lexi since I assume she's known her for a decent amount of time.

"You have no idea! She loves chocolate and Mt Dew but she gets hyper so easily because of it! She can be such a child, but she's very entertaining!" She replies causing both of us to burst into laughter.

We look in Alyssa's direction to see her slowly walking over to us as she drags her feet in the sand. She looks distressed. Lexi looks afraid and rushes off in her direction. She grabs something out of her pocket, hands it to her and Alyssa gladly took it. I look at the object closer to see it's an inhaler, I guess she asthmatic? Alyssa looks like she's relieved, very relieved. After Lexi made sure Alyssa was okay, they both walked back over to where I was sitting.

"Are you okay Alyssa?!!" I question when they arrive at where I'm seated.

Alyssa nods in reply," Yeah, I'm fine. If you haven't figured it out already, I'm asthmatic. It's not a big problem, I just suck at breathing." She shrugs it off like it's nothing then went prancing into the water with Lexi following.

"Well this has been a lovely, eventful evening, but I need to go home. My mother would get angry at me if I would stay any longer." I tell the two girls that were messing around in the water. They both look over in my direction, then look at each other and nod. Next thing I know, there's two sets of arms around me making the clothes I'm wearing damp. I groan while the other two are laughing evilly.

"Well anyway you must be on your way now. Bye! I hope to see you at school!" Alyssa shouts as she unwraps her arms from me. Alexis agrees with her statement, gives me one final hug, then rushed back into the water shouting goodbye with Alyssa. Turns out Alyssa isn't the only person here that's strangely unique. Now I know two!

Anyway, I start to walk on the route I took to come here that leads to the place I call my new house. I pass by neighboring houses that look similar to ours but aren't quite the same color. Ours was a nice tan color with a dark brown roof. While others were either totally different colors or the opposite. Once I find the house that I now live in, I walk up the driveway to go through the front door.

I open the door to see my mother in the kitchen and my father in the living room shouting at the tv because of a football game. It's nice to know that not much has changed. Of course other than the fact that I live in a totally new state now, none of my friends have made the slightest effort to keep in contact and my new friends seem more original than any other person I've met. Other than that, not much has changed. Okay, a lot has changed, but that doesn't have to totally be a bad thing! I can deal with change! Just because I don't prefer it doesn't mean I can't tolerate it.

Right?
