chapter 3: slow progress and to lastation

After falling down the hole, the trio found that they are in a luminous cavern littered with shimmering crystals, and glow bright enough to illuminate the cave system.

"well... that was a ground-breaking discovery" Victor joked and stood up and noticed Neptune giving him an angry glare.

"what?"

"leave the jokes and puns for me buster boy!" she shouted to which he shrugged.

after the three stood up, they heard an unnerving scream from the distance.

"that's not good" 

the three were worried until the young nurse suddenly disappeared from them. Victor noticed this and drew his weapon.

"where's Compa?" he said until he heard a high-pitched scream.

"oh no! Compa's being *censored* and *censored*" Neptune said as she noticed Compa being held by a half-human half-spider monster.

"aaaaaahhhhhh! i'm not being *censored* i'm just offscreen!"

"oh well. So much for fanservice, don't worry Compa i'll help you!" she readied her wooden sword and prepared to fight until she heard Histoire's voice

"Neptune, i will help you in this fight"

"okay? how are you gonna help me Histy?"

"i'll activate your HDD, Neptune. you'll be much stronger using it!"

"oh... It's one of those 'powerful forms' in some RPGs right?"

"would you like me to force activate for you?"

Neptune thought for a while to allow Histoire to activate her HDD Form until she noticed Victor parrying the monster's sword/axe with his sword.

"Do it Histy!" The disembodied voice became surprised as the tone of Neptune's voice wasn't usually angry, she sounded like she was angry on something but she agreed to activate it.

"very well"

And with that, a bright beam of light nearly lit the cavern in an almost blinding light due to the crystals. After the light dissipated, an unknown woman stepped out of and wielded a large katana that nearly dwarfed the woman.

"Dammit! it's too strong!" Victor thought to himself as he parried the monster's weapon while it grabs hold of the young nurse.

Victor clenched his teeth and mustered all his strength to prevent the massive sword/ax at him, only for him to experience slight muscle pain from his back. Then a purple blur and knocked a hit at the beast and stood beside him.

"The goddess has returned!" He exclaimed in his thoughts until he said "when did i sound like a mercenary that wears a skin tight red and black body suit" inside his head

The woman turned to face him and walked to him to which dwarfed Victor in terms of size as he only reaches the woman's chin.

"well.....better act that i don't know her" he thought to himself and let out his hand and asked her name.

"Don't worry. It's me Neptune"

"okay. What is that form though?"

"That's-"

"AAAAHHHHHHH! Nep-nep, Vi-vi! Help me!"

"It seems that we forgot about her"

"Don't worry Compa! Victor can you still fight?"

"to be honest, my back hurts and it's hide is too thick for my sword to leave any damage"

"Then i'll take it from here then" with those words, she flew with her wings and hacked the arm that was holding the young nurse from the monster and hacked it's leg off and a slash to the face while Victor was thinking about Neptune.
