Lost in the Space of You

It came out
of the ball of light
that we created between
us,
in the friction of lust
corrupting the dark
it took form.
Metallic feathers,
outlined the outstretched wings,
a corona of molten light
lifting the veil of night
where ignited gas giants
implode in dazzling luminous clouds.
The glitter of us spreading throughout
black onyx space.
Untethered and uncomfortable, unattached
in the pain of free fall and freedom: unconsciousness.
Pleading voiceless in the airless vacuum
for you to close the door on me, in your cage,
shutting me in with all that shone
and the soft rhythmic voice
of a bounding pulsar;
scarlet and graceful
under the secure meteor showers of bone.
