Portray what we aren't, act like some other

Trying to win approval and mind of the other
We somewhere lost oneself, reality no more matter
Can't we just try to be original
Rather than being a character so fictional
Let's just end this, start new
From where our souls we threw
Get them back together, now
Being our primordial, know how
'Cause we both know we can take no more
The water has risen, higher than the shore
From these chains of fiction, let's just get free
