The Third Way

7 Months Later 

I place the vase on the table and smile as I've finally managed to tidy the whole apartment.  These past 7 months have been such an emotional roller coaster mostly consisting of loneliness and boredom.  Tyler didn't need picking up from the airport as apparently he wanted to see his parents and get something from their house before coming home so he's due to arrive home anytime now.

I take a seat on the couch and read one of the magazines as I wait. Finally after what seemed like forever but only 15 minutes I hear the door opening. I throw the magazine down onto the coffee table as I jump up quickly making my way to the front door.

"Hey Princess" Tyler smiles as he places his bag down

I burst into tears and jump into his arms hugging him tightly "I've missed you" I manage to speak out

"I missed you more" He smiles pulling away a little and kisses me

I get down off him taking his bag into the kitchen to throw his clothes into the washer as he tells me about stuff he haven't mentioned in the letters, well stuff he forgot he actually put in the letters too but I don't mind.

"I stopped off at the macaroon place on my way home too"

"Please say you got my favorite one?"

"Of course, you'd probably kill me if I didn't get you the teal colored one" He chuckles as he looks around in the bag

"What are you doing?" I ask confused as he pulls a white box out and gets down onto one knee

"Evelyn you are the most wonderful woman I have met in my entire life. You support me with my career even though deep down you'd wish I would do a different job. You make me smile easily and you're the reason for me to wake up everyday. The reason to do well at my job and return home safely to you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you not as my girlfriend but my wife. Evelyn will you marry me?"

"Yes" I yell through tears of joy

He takes the ring out of the macaroon and cleans it on his shirt then places it on my finger.

"It's beautiful" I smile as I admire the ring

"Not as beautiful as you"

"Cheese" I chuckle and hug him.

That was the cutest thing ever, I love macaroons especially the teal ones so to use one to propose was the best idea ever and I loved it.

Who would've thought me, Evelyn Way getting married.

Life is going to be great, I just know it.
