The Third Way

December 2001 - Age 18

I finally get home after doing my Christmas shopping with Cindy to find the guy's 'little get together' is the complete opposite. The house is crowded with people, drunk people may I add. 

"I thought they was only having a few friends over" Cindy asks as we get into my bedroom 

"So did I"

"Well we may as well enjoy it"  She smiles and goes on ahead downstairs. 

I look through my closet and quickly get changed into one of my dresses and I sort my hair out then I finally go downstairs. 

4 hours later

"I don't know you do I?" I ask, well slur to this good looking guy with an amazing afro. Seriously its like poof massive. You could sneak food into the theatres in there. 

"I'm Ray, I believe you're Gerard and Mikey's little sister?"

"Why yes I am"

"They spoken about you a few times"

"All good I hope"

"Yeah. Do you want a drink?"

"Sure" I smile and go with him to the kitchen to get a drink 

Another over 10  drinks later it's now fully established that I'm drunk, Ray somehow being the same if not more drunk than me. 

"So why is your hair so big? oh oh I know I know" 

"Go on then.."

"It's full of secrets" I whisper then giggle at the end 

Ray laughs whilst nodding his head agreement and I have no idea how it happened but we ended up kissing, a lot. Eventually moving it into my bedroom. 

Next Morning

I wake up feeling like a brick has landed on my head  but I'm also not as warm as I normally am. I feel my arm under my head and, wait a minute arm? I normally feel my pj's sleeve. I slowly lift my blanket up and little and look underneath where I get greeted by everyone's worst nightmare after a party. Naked body. I turn my head to the right and see an afro. No no no, this can't be true. 

I've slept with my brother's band mate, this is a disaster. I notice he's waking up so I quickly close my eyes pretending to be asleep. My life is over. 

When I hear my door opening and closing again I open my eyes and quickly get changed then I see a note on my mirror. 

Last night was a mistake and I'm sorry, you're a beautiful girl with a great personality but I got a girlfriend who I love very much.
