I rolled over in bed typing up the last words of my essay that was due by midnight. I only had about an hour left before I had to leave and meet up with the same couple from a couple days ago.

"Hey, I'm back" I looked up briefly to smile at my roommate who just walked in. I sighed and sent the paper before closing my laptop.

"Any plans for today?" I shrugged in response.  "I'm meeting up with my new bosses today. I hope their kids like me.." I looked down at the floor and began to pick up the scattered clothes.

"Kids? I thought you were going to find another job besides babysitting." Stella plopped down on her bed.

"This is a job. 500 dollars a week is a job in my book any day" Stella sat up on the bed as soon as she heard the price.

"Who the hell are you actually working for? Who pays 500 dollars a week to babysit?"

I really didn't know these two besides their names and the fact that they must've had good paying jobs.

"I'm not too sure on that part. I only know that their names are Vanessa and Calum Hood" I pulled out a pair of jeans and a simple black off the shoulder top.

"Can I borrow those brown sandals you have?" I grabbed my stuff and got ready to get in the shower.

"Yeah sure, they're just in the back of the closet"

I nodded and walked into the bathroom. "So like where did they want you to meet up?" Stella questioned.

I thought about it for a second worried that I forgot the place so quickly.

"Some sushi place downtown, Yuki sushi or something like that" I responded through the bathroom door.

I jumped into the shower and took my time, also using the time to wash my hair. I stepped out and wrapped a towel around myself, using a second one to dry my hair.

"Hmm" I left my hair in its short curly state with just some moisturizer and a scarf around it. I looked at the time and saw that it was already 11:40.

"Fuck" I quickly finished in the bathroom and rushed to get dressed while trying to get an Uber. I muttered a quick 'bye' to Stella and swung the small bag over my shoulder.

It was already 12 and I knew I would be late...again.

I didn't bother to talk back to the driver much, I found it pointless and creepy. He kept looking at me through great view mirror resulting in me constantly pulling my top up.

I paid him a got out.

I walked up to the doors and already saw Calum and his wife.

I looks down at my phone. 12:25.

"Hello may I help you?" The host greeted me with a tired smile. The place was packed with locals.

Locals meaning businesses men on lunch break. "Hi I'm here to meet Vanessa Hood" the woman glanced over at their table and nodded.

I earned a few glances from nearby tables who's eyes they also couldn't keep to themselves.

"Mr. Mrs. Hood there is another guest joining you as per you request." Vanessa stood up and pulled me in for a light hug and kiss on the cheek.

I could feel his eyes stare me down intently. "You look great."

His eyes raked over my body but for some reason I didn't hate it as much as I did when other did it. I mean it was still rude considering his wife was sitting not even 2 feet away.

"Thank you and you do too. I'm very sorry for being late. I know I said I wouldn't do it again but"

"Please have a seat" there were two kids sitting at the table coloring in a coloring book. The smile on their faces widened when they caught a glimpse of me.

"This is Rose and Ethan. Be polite and say hi kids" they chirped out a hi and began rambling about what they did today.

"They're a bit hyper today after playtime" I nodded understanding how wild kids get.

"We'll leave you to it and see how you handle the kids then" I felt his yes on me again but paid no attention to him and gave it to the kids.

"No problem"
