Zero: Happy Birthday.

Malaria

"Happy birthday to you.. Happy birthday dear, Malaria. Happy birthday to you!" The crowd chanted bringing a bright smile to my lips.

"Yess babyyy!" My bestfriend, Cheney dragged throwing another half full cup of Devil's Ecstasy into her mouth.

She strutted her thick thighs over to where I was standing grasping me into a tight hug, while I returned the sweet gesture.

"Who that girl?" Her voice interrupted my sudden thoughts of my ex husband, Kendrick.

"Who?" I repeated looking around mysteriously. The club was abnormally packed today and I was trying my best not to get way too drunk but hey! It was a bitch's birthday so why not?

"Him. Right there." She rudely pointed to the almost white caramel man intently staring into my soul.

It was almost like he was a tailgated modified computer searching, reading and identifying my every inch. His eyes released a part of me I never thought I had when I stood to my feet, never stumbling and prancing over to him.

I made sure to never break the serious eye contact, halfway towards the trap I realized what I was doing.

What the shit! I had to think of a plan. I couldn't just walk away now.

Still with our never breaking eye contact, pulling and grabbing me towards him my heels shifted and turned to the right towards the bar.

I left him looking more than stupid. He had even stood to his feet awaiting my presence but when I turned my heels I could see the surprising unreadable look on his face.

"Hey Alex, could you whip me up a martini? Hold the lemon babe." I ordered and he nodded hearing me. He went to tend to my order while I sat at the bar pressing the Snapchat icon on my iPhone.

I began to take a quick ten second video of the club notifying every soul of my five thousand friends that it was my birthday and to send me a wish.

I tucked my phone into my bra just in time for Alex to be sitting my drink in front of my face.

"Thank you Alex!" I smiled, taking in his appearance.

"No problem beautiful, on the house. For your birthday. Oh! And happy birthday sexy." His dimples leaked making me melt in my seat, me and Alex always flirted but it was never to the point where we'd exchange phone numbers.

"Isn't she? Quite beautiful, I must say my man!" The creamy voice that I couldn't quite read answered before I could open my mouth back to Alex.

Alex seemed to be cool just nodding and handing me a wink of the eye and I blew a quiet kiss and stood up grabbing my drink.

I didn't even bother to look at the human being beside me trying to chitter chatter.

I chuckled to myself when I felt a soft yet strong grip upon my arm pulling me towards its force.

"Happy birthday precious." The voice called out instantly traveling right down to the purring abundance in my pants. I almost threw my head back in pleasure but caught myself just in time.

I spun around towards the voice eyeing the same man I'd just dodged, I mentally laughed in my head.

Easy one.

"Thank you.." I trailed awaiting a name to be spoken. "Dallas." He quickly replied with a bright smile forming quickly.

"Thank you Dallas!" I smiled back before turning away and walking towards the dance floor. I threw the drink into my mouth feeling the burning sensation caving into my chest. The captivating feeling of a fire burning resembled what I was feeling.
