Cyrus' Fate
Chapter Seven
Pan's POV"You want me to what?" Cyrus asked harshly.
"Come to Neverland with me," I repeated.
"Why would I do that, Pan? Why would I go someplace that will delay my pregnancy, take me from my family, and more importantly, a place that gives you magic?"
I frowned. "You don't trust me, do you?"
"When have I ever trusted you? When has anyone ever trusted you?!"
I glanced at the ground. "I... I don't know."
"You have the Curse," she continued spitefully. "Why don't you just take it and leave me alone?! Go cast it; curse Storybrooke. I don't care what you do just stay out of my life!"
I clenched my fists. "I can't curse Storybrooke."
She was fuming now, angrier than I had ever seen her before... At least she doesn't have magic now. I'd be dead if she did. Angry women and magic; I still don't believe that's a good combination.
"Why not?" she growled.
"You know why."
Her face fell, her eyes widening slightly. "Oh."
"Now do I have your attention?"
She took a breath and crossed her arms. "Two minutes of it."
It was better than nothing. "I don't want to cast the Curse," I told her and she scoffed. "Just listen to me. I have what I want: My youth. But now I'm in bigger trouble. Hades... I have to kill Neverland to fulfill our deal."
She was quiet for a moment. "You bought yourself another minute," she said. "Merely because I'm curious: How does one go about killing an island?"
"You sink it into the sea."
"How?"
"That's my problem: I don't know."
She made a face of discontent. "You just lost your extra minute. It sounded a lot more exciting when you said 'kill.'"
I sighed. "Please just come with?"
"No. I have responsibilies here."
"Yes, to do the cooking and cleaning and take care of your drunken husband-"
"He doesn't drink!" she snapped. "...Anymore."
"Come on, Cyrus; do you really want to spend the rest of your life as a housewife?"
"I'm not a housewife," she corrected. "I do actually have a job, you know."
"Yeah? How long's that going to last after your kid's born? You're going to want to be there with her, aren't you?"
"Well yeah, but-"
"I bet you'll end up quitting your job six months after she's born."
"I will not!" she protested. "I didn't quit when Sawy... I didn't have a job then..." She let out a breath, shaking her head. "Housewife or not, I need to stay here with my family. I don't want them on Neverland and more so than that, I don't want them around you."
I narrowed my eyes. "You don't want your magic back?"
"No."
"Then what do you want?"
"I want my family to stay together."
"Then bring Jacob, too."
"So you can just kill him? No."
