unfamiliar road

      Hello there my name is Benjamin and I'm a sophomore in high school. I barely moved in with my step brother who is already married.

His house was in elmer st. There was only a few houses there. So anyways this is the night I will never forget.

I was a normal guy at a party on halloween night. my step brother told me not to drink because I was only 17 but I didn't care. It was just a normal hang out party; few hot chicks in hot costumes, couple of stoners, and that one guy in every party who passes out on the couch with a beer in his hand.

When I looked at my watch I mumbled shit it's already midnight and my brother is gonna kill me. I went straight to my car and started it.

I went off onto the road to drive home. Halfway I noticed there was construction already then I remembered my step brother telling me about a back road that leads to his house.

I quickly followed his directions and it led to a somewhat to be a abandon highway but with no cars on the road. It was starting to get spooky so I turned on the radio to ease my mind off that. Suddenly in the middle of the road there was a woman in a white dress standing alone. I pulled forward so that way I can ask her where she was.

I didn't get  a reply from until now. She told me her husband and her had a accident and if I can get her somewhere safely. Without anything to say I agreed. She gave me the address. And I drove her to a hospital.

I parked the car and I looked in the passenger side she was gone. I soon left the hospital and went home. Luckily for me my step brother, his wife, and their two daughters were asleep. I went to my room and opened up my laptop. I searched abandoned road in Jacksonville and to my surprise there was only one abandoned road. I clicked on the link which led me to a article.

Now i know the mystery of this woman in white. Her name was Madeline and she was 35 when she died. It also said she and her husband were in a fatal car accident which led her to bleed to death on...Halloween night of 1977. And her husband died
  two hours later.

This creeped me out because someone commented that on every Halloween night at midnight the ghost of her will appear on that same road. She will ask for directions to the same place and when you arrive she disappears
And sometimes she leaves something later on.

Later on in the morning it was a school day I got in my car there was a rotting smell and on my passenger side there was a photograph of my step brother and his wife and the other one is the same woman and her husband. I looked carefully and they look the same.

I flipped over the photograph of my brother and his wife and to my shock are their death dates October 31, of next year and the same causes too. I looked on the window and there was the same ghost of the woman smiling devilishly at me as she disappears she left a bloody handprint on my window.

And that was the last time I visit that road alone on midnight.
