Chapter 2

I unwrap my arms from around the man's neck and whack my hands down on his back. “Put me down!” I yell at the top of my lungs, pulling on the man's arms in a futile attempt to detach myself from him, but the man was made of solid muscle, and it was almost unnatural how easily he was able to hold me while I wiggled in his grasp.

The man's body slowly begins to vibrate, and I freeze from my movement. Turning my head, I look up at the man. Was he...laughing at me?

“This is not a laughing matter! Put me down!” I screech.

The man laughs harder.

I can't help but bask in the noise of his laughter. The laugh was loud and deep, and could only be described as the most perfect noise I had ever heard. I cease my fighting and enjoy the sound for a moment. I felt like I was dreaming. Heck, there was nothing I wanted to do more than close my eyes and listen forever.

But the feeling of pleasure from his laughter is quickly overridden by the feeling of fear. This was not a dream. This was real, and as the realization that we were now entering the school car park slowly enters my mind, I have to stop myself from shaking.

I wasn't used to this feeling; the feeling of not being in control. But being held by this huge man that yield power I felt weak and useless, something I rarely felt.

Taking deep breaths in and out, I crane my neck upwards to the man's face. Relief quickly washes over me as I realize he seemed to be in some sort of dreamland of his own. He'd stopped laughing now, but a serene smile still stretched across his face.

With a last glance in his direction, I whip my head around to the area he was walking me. I had the suspicion he was taking me to his car, and the assumption was confirmed when I notice the view just in front of us.

A crisp, clean black Cadillac was planted at the back of the car park, a close distance of 20 metres away. The car looked totally out of place in comparison to the few other beaten-up cars scattered around the park, so I knew it had to be his. My high school was poor; to put it gently, and I was certain there was no way anybody at my school could afford a 40,000 dollar car.

So with my sudden discovery, and the man's long and quick strides, I come to the awareness that I had roughly 10 seconds before I reached my doom.

With that as my last thought, I feel my heart beat rise as I ready myself, and just as we get to the car, I swing a fist up and pound it against his temple, mentally congratulating myself as the man stumbles back a step in shock. I feel his grip loosen then, and before the man has time to react further, I fling one leg around and slam it right into his baby maker.

Take that you attractive, growling man.

The man instantly lets go of his hold on me and hunches over. Bringing his hands down to shield his crotch he lets out a growl. I fall down onto my palms and knees and hiss in pain for a few seconds, before dragging my hands up and pulling myself to my feet.

Looking over at the man, I notice i'd caused him slightly more damage than I had intended. The feeling of guilt washes over me suddenly, and as he releases a small wheeze, the feeling increases tenfold.

I take a slight step towards him then, and just as I open my mouth to speak, the man raises his head and sends me a faint smile.

It was then I remembered he was trying to kidnap me.

Pushing all thoughts of guilt to the back of my head, I dart my eyes around the car park and look for something to help me escape the man. The idea of just running away clouds my mind, but I discard the thought immediately. His breathing was quickly becoming normal again, and I doubted i'd get 5 metres away before he caught me.
