"Then.. do you love me?"
Taeyeon's eyes widened in surprise once she heard that question came out from Tiffany's mouth.
Taeyeon tried to find any sign, even a small movement like a flicker in Tiffany eyes or the slight quiver of her lips or anything that can show her that the eyesmile girl is not being serious right now. But no, there's none.

(Taeyeon's POV)
Tiffany eyes are boring into mine with such determination in it.
"What are you so determined about, Tiffany? Are you being serious right now? Do you really asked me that question?" I inwardly thought.
"Do you, Taeyeon-ah?" Tiffany asked again after a long paused we had.
"Damn you, Hwang. Why i can't answer your question? I was doing fine in answering all of your questions, like when you asked me whether i was worrying about you. Whether i was sad when i heard about your accident. And also whether i hate you or not. I could answered all of your questions with a firm answer. But now, why i can't answer this? Maybe because 'love' is also a strong word just like 'hate'. And i can't easily blurted those words easily."
"Answer me, Tae." She keenly demanded.
"Damn it, Hwang. Why you're being so pushy!"
"Cat got your tongue, Kim?" She mocked. Well, now it's more like her. Being all serious and caring is really not her style.
"You want an answer?" I finally found my voice back.
"Duh~" She mocked again and even rolled her eyes on me. I don't know what's gotten into me, but i found myself smiled at her instead of feeling offended or what. I used to dislike her bitchy-cold-rude attitude but strangely i don't really dislike them anymore. I even found it kinda endearing. I must be crazy.
"Fine. If you really so badly want to know the answer.." I trailed.
"Just say it already, stoopid."
"Yes." Damn it! Oh my God! I finally said it! I was panicking so badly on the inside but i won't show it to her so i put up my poker face instead as i keep waiting for her reaction.
"You what?" Guess now the table has turned. It's her time to get surprised by the thing i blurted out. She has her mouth open ajar and creased eyebrows, obviously didn't expecting that 'kind' of answer from me.
"You what, Kim Taeyeon?" Her voice is a bit shaky. Just a bit and i almost missed it.
"I--"
"UNNIEEEEEE!!" the door slammed open and just like in a cue, both of us break our staring battle and diverted our gaze toward the door.
Soon i saw four familiar faces entering Tiffany's room in a rush.
"Unnie, you're okay?" SinB started to sob once she saw Tiffany who's laying on the hospital's bed with her injured head and leg.
"Hey, my little sister. Don't cry, you silly. Sshh~" Tiffany cooed she patted SinB's head who's resting on her chest as the younger girl engulfed her in a careful hug since she didn't want to hurt Tiffany.
"Taeyeon unnie! What were you doing? Why this can happened to Tiffany unnie?" Hani starts to nag me. Aish this kid.
"Yah! No matter how i was at fault, you're still my dongsaeng. I'm older than you. Show me some respect!" I barked and tried to hit Hani but she already run away and hide herself behind Bomi, seeking for a protection.
"Seriously tho, unnie. Why this could happen? I heard when Tiffany unnie fell, you weren't there. Where were you?" Now it's Bomi who's questioning me.
I can only sighed. Guilt starts to eat me up again.
"Yah yah yah. Stop interrogating Taeyeon like she's the one who pushed me down the hill." Tiffany spoke up and finally made the others to shut their mouth and listening to her instead.
"It was an accident. Taeyeon already told me to not go but i was stubborn and without thinking much, i went there by myself. This kind of accident can happen to anyone especially to a clumsy person like me so leave Taeyeon alone. She took care of me well when we were shooting for Invincible Youth. So don't blame her." I don't know about things she did for me behind my back. I mean i ever heard several times about Tiffany defending me or protecting me and other stuff from my member or our manager because Tiffany always being subtle when she did that. I'll never realize it if it's not for my member and manager who told me about that. And i'm sure this is the first time ever in the history, our history, Tiffany openly defending me when there is no cameras nor another pair of eyes that need to be 'feed' with our fake moments and pretense.
So, may i assume that she's being sincere right now? With no pretense or whatsoever. Just Tiffany being Tiffany, her trueself.
But then again, after all of the pretenses we did, it's hard to differentiate the real reality and the reality we created. It's confusing. Tiffanny, you're confusing.

(Tiffany's POV)
Ever since the last talk we had when i was hospitalized few days ago, Taeyeon and i could never continue our talk. I don't know, it's either she had been avoiding me or she didn't but our time just didn't match, besides we're always get surrounding by other people when i want to talk privately with her, just the two of us. In addition, i have to rest in our dorm for a whole week for my recovery. And today too i can't go with Taeyeon for the filming of 'Invincible Youth'. A very precious chance that i have to missed. I mean, i can talk to her privately when we're in the shooting scene. If only i didn't sprained my leg.
It's funny how Taeyeon and i seemed can't find the right time to continue our unfinished talk. Our talk is far from finished since i have so many questions in my mind after hearing that one word from Taeyeon. She said 'yes.' So does it means she loves me? But that sounds so impossible. That even sounds like a nonsense to me. There's no way Kim Taeyeon could love Tiffany Hwang..
*****

But Tiffany Hwang always love Kim Taeyeon. Always.

When Tiffany didn't know any korean words yet except "annyeonghaseyo." because she was born and grew up in States, even at that time she already know there's something about Taeyeon that can make her heart beats a little bit faster than its normal beat. Something that made her to keep searching for Taeyeon among the crowd and then secretly smiled to herself when she finally spotted the girl, talking and laughing with her friends. How Tiffany badly wished she can be the one Taeyeon flashed her cute smile at. How she wished she could be the one who made Taeyeon laughed like there's no tomorrow like that.
And Tiffany sure she couldn't possibly fall any harder for Taeyeon when she heard the latter sing with her very soothing angelic voice as she closed her eyes tightly, immersed into the song she sings, pouring all of her heart and emotions to it.

Love at the first sight? Many people don't believe in that kind of love. They thought it's simply an attraction, a spur of feeling, a phase that will passed. Tiffany won't believe in it either if she is not the one who experienced it. She fell in love with Taeyeon as soon as her eyes landed on the petite girl. So, is that kind of love is love at the first sight that many people ever talked about?
Tiffany herself can never sure of the answer. All she know, she loves that midget, a little bit too much.

But.. *there goes another 'but'*
But Tiffany Hwang knows there's no way for her to get her feeling reciprocated because, first it's Korea not States. There's no future for LGBT couples in here. Second, Tiffany went to Korea to pursue her dream to be a singer. She won't recklessly put that dream on the line. Her career will ended as soon as the public know that Tiffany is 'different'. She's not normal. They will hate her and when that day come, Tiffany must say goodbye to her career. Something that she hardly achieved after so many years of struggling, bearing pains, tears and sweats.
And lastly, Taeyeon won't love her back. That's what Tiffany thought as the matter of fact.
Thought like,
"Taeyeon is 'normal' unlike me. I was stupid for wishing for rain when i'm standing in the desert. There's no way she will love me they way i love her."

So in order to prevent her feeling to growing bigger for Taeyeon, Tiffany acted like a big jerk.
She wanted Taeyeon to stay away from her, to hate her, to never try to approaching or befriending her, because if Taeyeon did that, everything will be harder for Tiffany. So Tiffany tried her hardest to make Taeyeon hates her, to keep (a safe) distance with her. It will be easier that way.

And when the company wanted Tiffany and Taeyeon to keep making fan-service, Tiffany was at lost, but she smartly hide her true emotion.
Tiffany doesn't know whether she should thanked her CEO or cursed at him for made this decision. She had tried her best to make Taeyeon stay away from her but then the company bring them together and told them to be a good actress whenever there are cameras or fans around them. They thought Tiffany is a good actress. Her acting is so flawless, it looked real. Well, they were right, but not completely right. Because they don't know the truth behind Tiffany's great acting skill. Why she can acted that well and pulled off such stunt for the sake of fan-service. The answer is simply because she's just freely being herself. The only time Tiffany let her trueself showed up is when she had to do the pretense with Taeyeon. The time you thought that Tiffany is in the middle of her acting, that's the time she's being her real self. And the time she had to end her pretense with Taeyeon, that's actually the time when Tiffany will actually put back on her mask and start the pretense for real. Confused?

But now Tiffany is in a bigger dilemma.

"Lately it's getting harder for me, thanks to you, Taeyeon-ah. Why you're keep being sweet and caring to me even after i acted like a jerk to you? Did you get immuned of my foul attitude already by now? If you did, what should i do now to chase you away? And most importantly, what should i do to my walls? It's starting to crack. Again, all thanks to you."

(No one's POV)

"I'm home." Taeyeon announced as she opened the dorm's front door. She just finished her filming for Invincible Youth ep 23 that will be airing next week.
"Welcome home, unnie." SinB is the first to greeted her.
"Hi, kid. Where's the others?" Taeyeon asked as she plopped down herself beside SinB on the sofa.
"Bomi unnie, Minah unnie and Hani unnie, that annoying trio are leaving me behind and hit the gym together. How mean they could be." SinB grumbled.
Taeyeon has to chuckle at that. SinB is such a spoiled maknae at times. She can easily sulk at her unnies for everything.
"You know they just cared for you. You hurt your shoulder when we had our dance practice two days ago. I bet they just don't want you to hurt your shoulder again, or worsening it. That's why they left without telling you. Because if they told you, you will insisted to go with them and sometimes they just can't win against you. You're sly, at times. We all know that." Taeyeon chuckled more while the younger girl pouted.
"Whatever, unnie.. Fine, just for this once, i'll forgive them and let it slipped." SinB finally relented. After all, she knows her members love her and care about her. So what Taeyeon said earlier must be right.
"I'll make sure there will be no second time though." SinB softly added.
Taeyeon just laughed and ruffled SinB's hair in response.
"Anyway, Tiffany is in her room?" Taeyeon asked again.
"Yeah. The last time i checked, she was sleeping. But that was like hours ago. She must be awake by now. Either because she have had enough sleep or because she's hungry." SinB said and makes Taeyeon to laughed harder.
"Fine. I'll check on her now." Taeyeon said and waved her hand at SinB as if saying, 'see you again later.'
"Taeyeon unnie.." SinB called out, make Taeyeon to halted her step and turned around to face SinB again.
"Yeah?" Taeyeon asked.
"It's good to see that you two finally could get along well even when there's no camera around." SinB sincerely said with a genuine happy smile on her face.
"Yeah. Me too, SinB-ah." Taeyeon softly smiled and walked back to SinB to patted her head before she starts to make her way toward Tiffany's room.
*****

"Fany?" Taeyeon used to called Tiffany with 'Fany' only when there are cameras or fans around them, in another word, when they have to give some fan-service. But now, that name is the name Taeyeon used to call Tiffany with or without cameras in front of them.
Taeyeon knocked on the door several times to announced her visit to the owner of the room. She respects people's privacy and knocking on their bedroom's door first rather than directly barged in, is part of respecting people's privacy.
"Taeyeon?" Tiffany asked from inside the room.
"Yeah. It's me. May i come in?" Taeyeon politely asked. Well, it's true that the two is not in bad terms anymore but they aren't best buddies out there either. Not yet.
"Yeah." There's the answer.
Slowly Taeyeon twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open.
"Hi." Taeyeon timidly greet.
"Hi?" Tiffany greeted back unsurely. The atmosphere here is pretty awkward and stuffy. Both girls can feel it. Taeyeon starts to regretted her decision to came here unplaned.
Tiffany seems can see how troubled Taeyeon is. She sighed and patted an empty spot beside her on her bed.
"Come here and sit." Tiffany said and Taeyeon awkwardly complied. She sits beside Tiffany but left a quite big space in between them.
"How was the filming today? Everything is alright?" Tiffany began.
"Damn it, Hwang. You should act like a bitch and annoyed her to death like usually. Pretend like you never care and won't care about her or anything that related to her. Why you're soften up? You're weakling!" Tiffany mentally scolded herself but it's too late now to take back her words.
"Yeah, everything is fine." Taeyeon answered.
"Really? Then why you looked so tired?" Tiffany chuckled seeing how Taeyeon looked like a zombie right now. Temporarily forgetting about acting bitchy and all in front of Taeyeon.
"I'm always tired." Taeyeon pointed out.
"True. But you looked extra tired today. What were you guys doing today anyway? Did they overwork you?" Tiffany asked in concern.
"Not really. We just do some games, and then went to the market to buy some groceries and also to sell our products, feeding Pureum (G7's calf), and lastly cooking for our guest and whatnot."
"Ah we have guest today? Who?"
"Minho from Shinee. Narsha unnie was all over him." Taeyeon said, causing Tiffany to laughed. She can image how Narsha keeps seducing the poor guy.
"Bet Taewoo oppa was jealous and loathed the new guy for stealing all of the girls' attention." Tiffany said after her laugh died down.
"Yeah. But i didn't really like today's filming."
"Huh? Why? I thought you always like it whenever we have to go for filming Invincible Youth." As far as Tiffany could recall, Taeyeon always excited whenever they had to go to Yuchi-ri for Invincible Youth's filming.
"I did. But not today. Today is different."
"How's different?"
"Something was missing today. And i think i don't like it to be that way."
"And what is that?" Tiffany curiously asked.
"You.

I don't really like it when you aren't there."
