Just Take A Chance

Chapter 2

       AN:  sorry I haven't updated for a while.... Hope u like this chapter       

               That next moring I got up and Dylan was still asleep. I walked outside and Dad was getting back into his tent. I said "Hi" Dad said sleeply " Hi, im going back to bed so mom dosnt get cold, see u in a little while." "See u in a little." I said sitting down by the fire dad had just made. I got on my iphone and saw i had twenty messagesfrom my family and best freind asking me how mom was doing, tell her Hi, and asking me how i was doing. I text all my family that she was ok but u could tell she was drifting off, and that i was doing fine. After I sent that to them, i desided to call my freind instead of texting her. So i walked over to the near by lake so i could talk without anyone to hear me. I sat down on a rock far enough away i wouldnt get wet. I pulled my phone and typed in her phone number and pressed the talk button. It rang a few time and then  Olivia ansered sleeply "Hello"

''Oh sorry, did i wake u'' I said supried.

''No, i was awake, anyways u sound upset.'' Olivia worryly said.

''Oh, well ya, i kinda am'' I said wiping a tear of my cheek.

''Whats wrong, is it your mom?'' Olivia said simpanicly.

'' My moms kemo didn,t work.....'' I paused to caugh my breath. '' she's not going to make it very long, we went out on a trail ride for a few days.'' I countiued

Olivia sighed '' why dont you convence them anouther day and send me everyone important to her and i'll get the out there and we'll all spend a day with you all.''

''Ok, well i'll send you the numbers and i better go, bye.'' I said taking the phone away from my ear.

''K, bye'' Olivia replyed

I quickly sent her the contacts and walked over bye the fire were my parents were.

Mom asked "who was on the phone Kate"

I quickly answered " just Olivia asking if i could come hang out tommarow. I told her i was going to stay another day out here, so can we."

"Well I geuss if thats what you want." Mom said happly

We all sat around the fire as dad made breakfast. We all lisended to the sislling of the pan, just happy we were together, When he got done there was toast, eggs, and bacon.

Finally Dylan got up when he smelt the food. "Mmmmm, what are u making?"

"Toast, eggs, and bacon" Mom said laughing.

"Yummm'' Dylan said.We all sat down around the fire trying to keep warm. We ate, talking and laughing.  Alittle later mom was tierd so her and dad went and layed down. Me and Dylan walked over and skipped rocks. And talked until it was dark then we went to bed.
