Scientists Don't Give Second Chances

An old friend forgoten

~Madi's p.o.v.~

Its over. I've lost everything I ever loved.Its gone. My brother... My friends....My closest friend more like a sister to me.... And now...myself. Im no longer human... I will never find any of my friends. Im useless.

I sobbed into Blackshines shoulder as he carried me back to his house for the fourteenth time this week. Every night I went out searching for Abby and Alexis now to. Eventually I found out that Elijah and Raul had gone missing as well. Nothing was going my way anymore. Nothing...

Blackshine sighed holding me close and walked home.
"Star...I know this hard on you Im sorry my dear but you can't keep going out anymore. I won't allow it!" Blackshine said in a stern yet kind tone. He knew how bad I had been hurt and only wanted to help but I knew he couldn't. Which really hurt me to tell him...so I let him try anyway.
"Please...don't call me that...Im a monster. ...I would rather be called by my real name" I said but he shook his head.

"Star... A name makes you no different. Nor does your looks. You have always been special to me...I've always wanted you to be with me...And it may be hard right now but something good is bound to happen my treasure. Please never doubt yourself."
I blushed a bit but weakly smiled. He was right. Things would get better I just had to hold onto the hope that at least my friends were alive. Who cares if Im a nethermorph. Now I can beat the crap out of who ever took my friends.

I spoke up and looked at Blackshine"Maybe...tommorow we could go out and look for them again?"
He nodded smiling at me and continued to walk home. He always seemed so happy though he mentioned some things that bothered him. It saddened me really to hear any of it but I knew it was hard for him really so the best I could do was be there for him.

I now hugged him tightly and he laughed taking his tophat off and set it a top my head.
"Much better~" he chuckled and finally made it home. He unlocked the door and turned on the lights but to his surprise spotted some one.
"Uhm hello is there something I can help you with? " Blackshine asked a bit confused and the person handed him a note then dissapered.
He read it allowed and as he did it made me cringe.
"Dearest Blackshine. I know I normally never talk to you but I herd you are hanging onto one of my fellow friends 'accidents'. They asked me to search for the creature and I told them I would get them back to them as soon as possible. If you would kindly bring the little freak to me I will take it from there.

The person it was signed by was smudged so bad he couldn't read it. Sadly he knew exactly who it was from and crumbled the paper in his hand.
"....It meant me didn't it?.." I mumbled sadly looking at the floor.
He nodded also saddened by this but ripped it in half then burned it with a bit of his fire magic.
I stared in awe at the fire. It seemed so mystical and mysterious I just couldn't look away. In a matter of seconds though it and the ashes of the paper dissapered.
So much for staring at it forever.

The one thing that I could stare at longer than forever though...
Was actually a he. It was Blackshine. He had always been so kind to me ever since I met him. I knew he liked me. He even told me at one point I think but I hadn't really told him I liked him back. I knew I was gonna though and nothing was gonna stop me from doing it. Meanwhile I need to go find my friends and that's just what im gonna do the next day!!

~-Normal p.o.v-~

Mixed had finally collected herself after writing a few things and sending them off. After words she started walking back towards the test subjects' room and sighed with relief. Finally the sirens were shut off and the blaring lights shut down.
It was peaceful.

She continued down the hall and finally reached their door. She put her ear up to it and smiled in pure joy at what she herd.
"Alexis what's wrong with you!?No!Don't kill her!!"
One voice said.
"Just let me go!!Let me kill this b-" another said back but was interrupted immediately.
"Language!!"
"Sorry..."
"Look....There is nothing we can do about this...besides. Don't think your not the safe one here."

Mixed just laughed and knocked on the door. "My little testies are you fighting?~"
They all went silent and a little bit of chuckling can be herd from the other side of the door.
"Two of them are.One just doesn't like me" the person said.
Mixed smirked knowing she finally had one of the teens in her grasp. She then proceeded to open the door and the sight was rather interesting.
Elijah was holding back Alexis who seemed to be very upset at some one. Her expression explained everything. Her skin was a dark crimson red and now her eyes looked as if they were starting to fade to white.
"My my....it appears some have already started to give in!And all for the luck of science I see!No need for bloodshed quiet yet though Alexis."Mixed pointed out to her quite calmy.

Alexis turned to look at Mixed and was infuriated by what she said. She screamed out of pure anger or madness,or maybe it was both.Elijah kept standing his ground holding her down so she wouldn't kill anyone and he looked over in the corner of the room then at Mixed.
"Please if you can...the least you can do is remove her from the room if you don't want bloodshed." he pleaded.
Mixed simply nodded and walked over to the corner of the room. She almost hadn't spotted the very gray and black colorless girl who sat there.What once was very colorful and lively of her clothes,skin color and hair were gone,all faded away into the abyss of colorless black white and Grey.
"How peculiar..." she mumbled adjusting her glasses.
Abby opened her eyes making the intreged scientist jump a bit.
"What do you want?"Abby asked sounding a bit harsh in her tone.
"Well it appears I need to pull you from the room is all,now follow me"

With out question Abby rolls her eyes but gets up anyway and Mixed leads her out of the room and Elijah imeadiatly gets up bolting for the door. Alexis growls getting up and runs after him as her eyes flash white a second. The door slams shut and Elijah runs straight into it falling backward on top of Alexis who was just about to attack. They both groaned and he quickly got off. Alexis snapped back to her senses and her eyes went back to fading towards white.
She stared at the door in confusion but then sadness. Elijah sighed.
No one is getting out of here....And we lost Abby...To soon.
We gotta escape...

Well finally got up a new chapter!I was able to sneak this <_<
Anywho hope this story is doing ok. I've got an idea laid out in my head for future things of this book. So I hope you stick around for that. And hey couldn't forget our good old friend Madi here could we?
