Zoey Gilbert was dying

The doctors knew it, she knew, really everybody did but they didn't want to believe it.

Everyone loved the baby Gilbert and so when they had to say goodbye you can kinda imagine how many tears where shed.

The reason it was so hard for them to let her go was because she was sweet and gave the best hugs, and when her parents died she was the one to help her family heal.

Zoey would tell anyone she met on the other side that she was happy when she died, sad but happy and if she could go back and see for a day she would ask them to play tea party with her or watch her favorite show.

Third P.O.V
| AT THE HOSPITAL |

Zoey Gilbert laid in the hospital bed hugging her stuffed bare in one arm and holding her brother Jeremy's hand in the other as she watched him silently cry.

" I'm okay Jare-bare, don't cry " Zoey said as she let go of his hand and wiped a tear from his face.
Jeremy smiled at his sisters gesture

Jenna Sommer's and Elena Gilbert walked into the room after speaking to the doctor just outside the room.

Elena's face streaming with tears as she cried out loud while Jenna however cried silently, as she is the adult and needs to stay strong.

" Hi, Lena. Hi, aunty Jen " the blonde headed girl said ever so sweetly

" hey, princess " Jenna said to the littlest Gilbert as she walk over to sit beside her.

" hi, babe. I'm just gonna go get some coffee " Elena said to her sister as she kissed her forehead then walked out of the room

Jenna knew her niece wasn't going to get coffee, she was going to cry and didn't want her sister to see her like this because Zoey looked up to Elena, thought she was pretty and strong and wanted to be like her. So she didn't want to be seen crying.

Zoey watched her sister leave the room, then she turned her head to look at her aunty and said " aunty Jen "

Jenna looked at her with loving eyes and said " yes, princess "

" what did the doctor say " Zoey said as she hugged her teddy bare closer

Jenna froze, not knowing exactly what to say to the child

" how about I tell you when Lena gets back " said Jenna as she finally managed to say something

Zoey nodded her head and mumbled an " okay ", then looked at Jeremy and squeezed his hand as he feel asleep

A few minuets later Elena came back with a sad smile on her face

" Lena " Zoey started

" yes, Babe " Elena said as she walked up to Zoey

" where's your coffee " Zoey finished as she looked confused

" oh I must have forgot, I'll go get one later " Elena said as a small tear came down her cheek

Zoey then looked at Jenna and said " can you tell me now "

Jenna frowned but quickly covered it with a smile

" of course " started Jenna

" princess, your moving " Jenna finished after a few minuets or so

" I'm moving " she said confused

" yeah, your going someplace where you will never be hurt and you'll see mommy and daddy " Jenna said as she gentle rubbed Zoey's arm

" oh, but what about you guys. What will happen to you, why can't you come with me " Zoey said as tears began to show

" we can't come yet, but sooner or later will see you again " Elena said to her sister as she too began crying

" can I be alone for a minute " Zoey said as she shifted in her bed

Jenna woke Jeremy up and told him to say goodbye, so he could go home and sleep in his bed but Elena didn't want to leave her, she want to spend as much time with her as possible before............. the worst should happen

" what, no. Why do you want to be alone " Elena said mad she wanted to be alone, yet sad she wouldn't get to spend more time with her sister

" I just want to sleep and I'll see you tomorrow " Zoey stated as she turned on her side and mumbled a bye then shut her eyes

Jenna placed a hand on Elena's shoulder and whispered " just let her be, Elena. She's taking everything in and just needs time okay

Elena nodded and hugged and kissed Zoey, as did Jeremy and Jenna.

Jeremy's however was strong and tight as if he thought he'd never see her again.

And he was right, the next day Zoey passed on.

She told the doctors to give her family the notes she wrote when her family left, she wrote them because she knew something was gonna happen.

A letter for everyone and a present for Elena.
