"I can explain," Wade raised his hands up in defense as they stood on the high roof of the building. Cars and people looked like small toys and Hot Wheels far below. Wade couldn't help feel at the Spider's mercy seeing as only one of them could walk away from a potential fall without injury. And one of them held the power, and It wasn't the human with a healing factor. Wade was strong and nearly indestructible but he couldn't push cars aside or regularity handle the G-forces Spider-man casually played with on a day to day basis.
"Can you? Can you really?" Peter scoffed. "Then you better have a damn good reason for being here. For hunting me down. And what is this supposed to be?" Peter snarled, shoving his phone into Wade's face, forcing him cross eyed as in order to focus on the text bubbles on the arachnids phone. On screen were the texts Wade had sent earlier to Parker in his hopes of getting a meeting with him to learn more about his soulmate.
"Hey. I was just trying to learn more about you because you're sort of a paranoid, selfish douche who thinks his identity is more important than communication." Wade snapped back, pushing the phone aside. "I thought a less biased opinion could come from your paparazzi boy, I was looking for words aside from the usual 'menace, crook, liar, and murderer' that's floating around because you're feeding your own defamation. I wouldn't know you're my soulmate if you hadn't shown your face that night, maybe if you sat down and chatted with me instead, you wouldn't be so pissed off over a coincidence."
There was a flash of hurt in Peter's eyes as he listened to Wade but it was quickly squashed by the fire behind his eyes. He was still angry but the cutting edge of his approach dampened.
"If you wanted to know me better, a normal person would organize a meeting." The hero took a step away from Wade. "Not corner an affiliate,"
"Now that's the point, isn't it? I'm not a normal person and neither are you. My everyday life is not surrounded by the idea of pretending to not be normal. I did what was smart. Have you considered that what I do for a living makes my accomplishment of everyday things as different as your own technique?" Deadpool defended as he took the step forward so as not to back down from the accusations. "Besides It wasn't hunting you."
" Yes! Yes it really was hunting" Peter countered in an almost manic retaliation. "You were doing recon on your soulmate."
" I wasn't hunting I was just..."
"Planning to pay someone for information. Oh, sure. Totally not stalking." Peter declared raising a hand up dramatically. "Nope, no stalking done here. Hunting, and stalking, they're the exact same thing."
"Would you stop ? You're acting like an entitled child. If you can't pause one moment to logically look at a situation from someone else's point of view then I have no reason to stay here."
(Pftt. That coming from you. So, when are you going to start doing that yourself then?)
[We did by not bolting out of this place the moment he turned his back on us.]
"Deadpool I'm not-"
"It's Wade." He snapped.
" What?"
"My name. Wade Wilson. Ever heard of it?" He glared at Peter, heart beating in his chest. He was angry and he knew being angry was the opposite of what he should be expressing himself but he felt cornered, "I found your name so you can have mine. I swear that I didn't mean to find you. It's not what I was looking for, but I guess I've found enough." He took a few steps back. "I'll be going, I've wasted enough of your time and I don't see this conversation going anywhere productive."
He strode past Peter towards the edge of the roof. Going "Splat" sounded appealing right about now.
" No." Peter stated. " No, Dead- Wade, you're going to stay here and talk about this,"
