I am walking through the school halls and everyone is laughing because I have a hole in my pants and my name is on the list of children in need I feel terrible.The school bell rings and I am at my fourtj periodclass and we had to stand and say our names I said my name is Lila and someone said who is poor! I ran out of the classroom and into the bathroom.
Then this girl ran into the bathroom she said don't mind them and put her arm on my shoulder and as I looked at her she was dressed in one of the most popular brands of pants and she said come let's go back to class. When I got back to class everyone starred at me and started to whisper and as soon as I sat down the lunch bell rang the same girl asked if I wanted to sit with her for lunch I said yeah and she said my name is Jackie and we ate our lunch.
After lunch I didn't want to go to any of my classes until she told me that she was in all of my classes I was thrilled. When I got home I went into the bedroom and i laid on the bed that I shared with my mom and my two brothers it was the only bed in the whole entire small and old house. I cried myself to sleep.
( She goes to school at Ruby High and her family is very poor that her mom works two jobs just to make things work)
