What is Kim Taehyung?

Jeongguk had asked himself this question a thousand times.

He had spent so many sleepless nights, thinking of him.

Wondering.

Dreaming.

Feeling.

And the mystery is still there.

Even though Jeongguk had known Taehyung almost his whole life, he never really understood him.

He never understood how he hid his tears in smiles and smiles in tears.

One day Taehyung is cold and distant.

The next he holds all the love in the world and is willing to spread it.

One day he tells Jeongguk that he adores him.

The next he doesn't shed a word.

It's so frustrating sometimes, Jeongguk thought, not being able to read someone and never be sure of what exactly are they thinking, no matter what they say.

Because Kim Taehyung, beside a mystery, is a liar.

He lies about his feelings.

All the time.

Jeongguk wasn't sure if somebody actually knew the real Taehyung and what hides behind his grins and short laughs or cold eyes and frowns.

Maybe nobody did.

And maybe nobody will ever know.

But maybe.

And that's a big maybe.

Maybe Jeongguk dreamt of being the first one to find out.

Who knows, after all.

Maybe he will.
