The Unexpected

Denise

Mias POV:

   I  woke up on my couch, not realizing I cried myself to sleep lastnight. I traced my finger through the long scar I gave myself the day my mother died.  I suddenly realized I had to tutor at school. I checked the time.  6:30.

Damn, only an hour. I quickly ran up to the shower,got out and put on a white tank top, a purple hoodie, black jeans, and white converse. I brushed my hair, teeth, and grabbed my purse. I ran out of the house and walked to the school. Luckily it was only a block away and got there just in time.

I was finished around 2:30 and knowing I had company tomorrow, went to the store.  About an hour later I was home, putting  groceries away. I suddenly heard my stomach grumble, wanting food. After all the food was put away I texted Denise.

To Denise,

Im hungry wanna go get something to eat.

From, Mia

A minute leter she replied.

To Mia,

Yeah pick you up in 10 minutes.

From, Denise.

I smiled. Thank god she has a car.

Denise. Denise has jet black hair, and brown eyes, yet she was very beautifyl... she is one of the bestest friends ever. If anything, she is really my only friend. I was not always popular in school, being the nerd and all.  In fact I was the compete opposite. I met Denise one day at the school library. We were both in 8th grade. Unfortunately, as a I was reading my favorite book in the corner,a group of high school jocks came by and decided to annoy me.

And hit me

And tease me.

Denise had recently broken up with one of those jocks, Jared.

Because she hated him, she came up to them and basically shared the living shit out of them. How she did it is still a mystery til' this day, but all back then all I have said was 'thank you'. After that, we just sort have been friends then. She was by my side throughout the rest of 8th grade and high school. I'm not really sure how a sassy, beautiful girl like Denise became friends with a no-parent-lonely-geek girl like me but I'm still very thankful.

10 minutes later She honked, signaling me she was here. I quickly grabbed my purse and met her outside, as I jumped in the car, she started to drive.

I told her all about my cousin from England and his four friends, and that they are coming tomorrow. She got all excited.

"OMG we can all go to the movies and hang out and I hope there really hot!", she screamed.

"Yeah, and calm down you have a boyfriend", I said.

Her eyebrows squished together. Her wide grin turning to a sad face. Her eyes showed sadness, anger, and a bit of jealousy.

"W-What happened with you and Eric?", I asked with confusion.

I watched her as a tear slipped down her cheek, her eyes, staying on the traffic.

"Y-you remember Marissa?", she asked.

I winced at her name.  Marissa was always mean to me and Denise when we were little.

I groaned. "Yeh", I said  clenching my fists.

" I saw her o-on top of E-Eric", she said tear streaming down her face.

I was on the rage of  fury.

"Aww Denise, its ok that bitch can get pregnant, dont worry about her", I said enthusiastically.

"Yah, im fine", she said wiping her tears  and giving me a fake smile.

"Were here", she said.

After we finished eating Denise looked much better.

"Hey wanna go to the beach?", she asked.

"Aww Denise you know I hate the  beach", I said nervously.

" I know, I know we'll go on the peir", she said with puppy eyes.

"Uummm ook I guess but only for 30 min.s", I said giving in.

"Yaayy!!", she said.

The whole time we were there, we gossiped and talked about girl stuff.

"Hey can you give me a ride home? I need to wake up early for tutoring", I said noticing the light pink, purple sky above us.

"Sure MiMi", she said smirking.

When i was home, I decided to go  upstairs, and take a steamy shower. Once I was done I dried up. I put on my favorite Pj's my mom bought me.

I decided to go on my laptop and go on twitter to check on the guys.
