*BEEP-BEEP-BEEP*
Aquarius's white and purple alarm clock rang and vibrated. Aquarius reached out her tanned hand to push the black button sticking out the top but missed and hit air. Her hand hit the floor and slowly pulled the rest of her lazy body down with her. *BANG* Aquarius's head connected with the floor. "I'm up I'm up!!" she said to no one sitting up quickly. She pulled her hair out of her face. Sadly she always had horrible bed head and it took her twice as long as everyone else in her family to get ready. Three times as long if you count the fact that she is a girl. Aquarius quickly grabbed the outfit that laying on her desk and took a quick glance at herself before making her way to the shower. "You are Aquarius" she told herself as she tiptoed to the bathroom down the hall. "And you will stay positive. You will have a great first day at school."
2 hours later
"Bye Mom!! Bye Dad!! Bye Uncle Peter! Bye Aunt Sara!" Aquarius closed the old, brown Victorian door behind her and set off to her new school. As she walked, she pulled her glossy, long brown hair into a tight high ponytail. She paused every now and then to look down at her phone and check the directions. Looking around, Aquarius found little things that made her think of home. Like the apple tree near the park where she broke her arm, or the big mud puddle that always seemed to be there no matter how hot or cold the day was. She found herself wiping the tears from her big blue eyes and wanted to go to her home in Toronto,Canada.
She had moved to New York because her dad got laid off and they needed a place to stay. Luckily her very rich aunt and uncle invited them to stay at their house until Aquarius's family could get back on their feet. She couldn't wait until that happened.
The wind was getting a little stronger and Aquarius wrapped her coat around her a little tighter to keep out the late October breeze. Just as the school came into view, their was a loud ear piercing screech that gave Aquarius goosebumps. She cautiously approached the school hoping that whatever made the noise, didn't come and attack her. "SAGITTARIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ARIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!WHEN I FIND YOU AM I GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!! LITERALLY KILL YOU!!!!!!" Aquarius whipped her head to the left to find a boy with big golden eyes and perfect wavy hair. Well,at least he would've been perfect if he wasn't covered from head to toe in a variety of pizza toppings. Mr.not-so-perfect was kneeling on the ground and wailing. Aquarius looked in the direction he was looking to find two boys doubled over laughing.
The one on the left was wearing a varsity jacket that said Starlight High! with a picture of an eagle. It was blue, white and gold which were the school colors. He was wearing a plain black t- shirt under the jacket, which you could see because he left the top a bit open, and shorts (which made no sense considering the temperature). He had dark hair that almost looked red and kept it combed with a bit sticking up at the front. Aquarius's old crush had his hair like that. In his hands was a baseball cap with the big letter A in red on in. She guessed this was Aries. The one on the right, was almost on the ground, and was also wearing the varsity jacket but kept it all the way open. He had on a plain gray t-shirt and wore jeans. His hair was what Aquarius liked to call 'flippy hair'. It was when the boys had bangs long enough to flip to the side. The hair was different types of brown and looked really soft. This one must be Sagittarius, she thought.
Before she could go up and introduce herself the bell rang. She glanced at the others kids making their way into school, and when she looked back to where the boys were she only found Sagittarius staring at her. She quickly turned red and hurried inside not bothering to look back. But one thing was bothering her. The boy that was covered in pizza toppings looked oddly familiar. If he didn't have an anchovy covering one of his eyes, she probably could've identified him. "oh, well" she muttered to herself. "I still have all day to figure out who he is."
