POV LIBRA

I wake up yawning. I check the clock at my bedside table, it reads 7:30. Which is later than I usually wake up.

Thankfully though, I realize that it is Monday. The day we are supposed to leave for Paris. The day we're not actually going to go to Paris.

I get out of bed and put on some jeans, a blue blouse and pull my hair into a stylish ponytail. Then I get my phone from the front drawer of my bedside table and check to see if there are any texts. To my surprise, there aren't.

After I brush my teeth, wash my face and do my makeup I check the time again. 8:00.

I sigh and then go into the group chat where all of my friends talk.

Hi

I text them. Almost immediately Gemini texts back. I laugh.

Hi, is everyone ready?

She texts. I send a thumbs up emoji and notice that everyone except for Aries has logged on. While everyone is texting things like 'I'm so ready' or 'I've never been away from home without permission before'; I'm thinking about Aries.

The fact that we've been together multiple times before might give someone the bad impression about us, but my friends knows it's not like that. All throughout elementary school, I had the biggest crush on Mr. Hot-stuff-Aries. The summer before high school, I took the first step and asked him out. He said yes.

A few weeks later he told me it wasn't working out, and he only said 'yes' because he didn't know how to say 'no'. Obviously I was upset. After a while we were just friends but by the end of summer he asked me out. To be honest I didn't say yes the first time, but I realized how much I liked him and agreed to go out with him. Then a few weeks before Aquarius moved to the school, I ended things. It's not like I don't like him, but I just felt like we were too young. We've only begun life, right? So I didn't want to spend my high school career in a relationship.

Our friends say we are a big on-and-off couple, but that's only because we don't know anyone else who has been in a relationship, ended it, then went back into one. So really, they're exaggerating.

When I realized, we were all going to go on this big adventure I thought this was an opportunity to patch things up with him because I was emotionally ready this time. But, he was turning down all my offers to hang out with him and I didn't know what was going on.

My thoughts are interrupted by another buzzing from my phone. It was Virgo telling everyone that we should probably start heading to school. I agreed and began walking out of my room and down the stairs. I made it to the foyer and turned around to face my house, which was pretty large.

"Goodbye." I say, hearing my voice echo around. Their was no response and I sigh. There never was a response. I grab my house keys and walk out the front door. I stare up into the blinking sun and frown. I promise we'll find you, Pisces.

I enter the school doors waving to the students that I know with a smile on my face. But when they can't see me, my smile fades. I have never been more nervous. I'm more nervous than when I had to say a speech in front of the whole school, including my judgmental parents. Thankfully I did alright, but I vowed to never public speak again.

I soon find Virgo, Taurus and Gemini. I walk up to them smiling.

"Hey Libby." Gemini says. I smile. "Hey girls."

Then I nod over at Taurus. "And guy." He grumbles a little bit causing Virgo and Gem to laugh. But I can only crack a grin. Like I said, I was nervous for our upcoming adventure.
