Chapter 3: "Payback is a Bitch"

I know i took forever life got in the way and then school did and then i was stuck on writers block!!! In all honesty it feels go to finish this chapter. Btw do you know how hard it is change third pov to Maria's Pov and for those new readers yes the first few chapter were were written third pov and i had to change so many of it because it was cringe af trust me this is better. I wrote this book when i was 16 and i was junior in High School and I didn't think twice of how what i posted and the story felt very rushed nothing made since in the first few chapter and it is all over the place and they were many "wtf just happened" moments that didn't make any sense to trust me you new readers are getting a better version..

Maria P.O.V

Slowly i see the sun peek through the window i get from my bed and start to get ready. I look at myself in the mirror i had bags under my eyes I quickly wash my face with cold water and head down stairs.i look at my phone to know it's six in the morning so i had time to eat breakfast i open the fridge. I take out two eggs and crack them on a bowl and mix them with a fork i grab a fryung pan from in the oven turn on he oven and turn it on i put coconut oil on the pan and waits until is desovoles and then i put them on thr pan.

Once finished i set up a plate for my mom and leaving her a note telling her that i leave early I quickly sling my packback over my shoulder and head to Nicks house.

I open the door to his house make it to his

"Hey! Maria" Nicks mom tells me in her police uniform

she's the sheriff of our town for the past 2 years now and is doing one hell of a job if you as me.

"Is Nick up?" i tell her as i lean on the counter and drop my packback on the floor.

"No he's knocked out" as she sips her coffee not missing the grin on her face grow into a smile.

I made my way up the staircase passing a few baby pictures of Nick and his family. I make my into the hall stopping at his door I slowly open it makeing sure noto wake him up. I make my way towards his bed.

I pull out my phone as i scroll to find a rock song as i put it in his ear and hit play. Nick suddenly falls to the ground and trust me he looked like a fish out of water.

"Oh my god!" I start laughing as i feel tears in my eyes As i wipe them away with my hand as it suddenly start to stop.

"You good now" As i look at him and start to laugh again.

"Pay back is a bitch" I tell him in between laughs.

"okay okay im done now get ready" I tell him as i ignore his glare as i walk out of his room and into the kitchen where Sasha is now aitting at the table.

"you want something to eat?" Sasha tells me as i shake my hesd no.

  "No thank you i ate this morning" as i take a piece of bacon from her the plate as she raise an eyebrow at me.

Sasha give me weird look as if i did something horrible as she looks at the time.

"Did Maria make breakfast?" She says surprised as a fant smile forms on her face.

"Yeah so? Why do you look so surprised?" I tell her as i sit on the

"Maybe it's because for once in your life you actually lifted a finger and helped" Nicks says coming down the stairs and opening the fridge taking out the orange jucie

Seriously right now I'm not that lazy?? I mean yes i hate getting up but I'm not that lazy well? Maybe i am but I'm not a mean person.

"Hey Einstein You good" My attention was caught off by Nick snapping his fingers in from of my face as swat his hand away.

"Do that aging and i will cut your finger off" I glare at him as he puts his hand up.

Yeah he better surrender.

"And by the way my ears are still ringing" he says as he Sips no chungs down theorange jucsi

"Honey slow down your drink as if it's the last thing on earth" Sasha says as she puts her cup in the sink.

"You haven't seen Maria" heas as i give him a glare and grab the dishwash cloth and roll it up.

"Take it back" i threant him as I continue to roll it.

He did not just-

I do it yes i hit him with it as he yelps out of pain as a smile goes one my face as i fold the dishcloth neatly and hold my hands together.

No I'm not crazy just don't test my limits and get me riddled up.

"Damnit i pushed it didn't i" he says as i nodd my head yes as i hit the back of his head with my hand and sling my packback over my shoulder.

"Let's go idiot we're going to be late" as i turn to Sasha

"Can you take-" Nick interrupts me as hr put his hand on my mouth.

"It's okay mom we will go walking" he tells her as i glare at him swating his hand of my mom as Sash says okay and leaves out the door.

"Why did you do that dipshit I didn't want to walk"

"Payback a bitch" Is all he says walking out thr door.

I am so him back getting it back.

Walking down the street or dragging myself down the street because Nick won't give me a piggyback ride, because of what i did to him in the morning but either way he's the one that mad us walk in the first place.

"I hate you Nick" I told him as i glare at his back i can push him right here if i had enough energy to take a few steps forward and actually do it.

"No you don't Maria you're just mad" He says as i roll my eyes at him.

"Mad doesn't even describe what i want to do to you now" I tell him.

After walking for years we make it to the front of the school as for Nick who is Now playing Toughe a wars with Katy.

"Damn Nick let her breathe you slacker" I push him slightly on the shoulder as they both separate and look at me.

"You guys are disgusting" I tell them as Nick rolls his eyes at me.

"Did you roll your eyes at me mister" i tell him all of the sudden he picks up Katy bridle style and runs through the open door.

You've got to be kidding me he carries her but won't give me a piggyback ride because HE made me walk stupid Hypocrite.

I walk in as I'm greeted by Michaela who is now wearing light pink jeggings and a cotten somwhat white fuzzy long sleeve shirt with white vans.

"Why are you in a bad mood" She tells me as i flick her forehead.

"Ow" she says "If your mad don't bring your bad voodoo her with me" she tells me.

"Bad Voodoo ke Nada I'll do whatever i do" I tell her.

"And To answer your question yes i am in a bad mood because my dumbass of a best friend ticked me into walking" I tell her as she tries to hold in her laughter with a hand on her mouth.

"It's not funny" I swat her arms "I'm getting him back so he better watch his back this time" i tell her.

"But please Maria don't go to far" she says as i give her a a small smilex

"Where's the fun in that" I tell her if anything Nick hates is the silent treat me and boy how I'm going to give it to him.
