-Chapter Six-

Previously:

Jack and I woke to a loud noise and Matt running into the room, crying.

I jolted out of the bed, dragging Jack with me.
"Matt, what's wrong?" He frantically started shoving clothes and all of his things into a suitcase. He quickly wiped tears from his eyes and he zipped up the case.

Ryan came into the room, "Matt, I just booked the flight. But we have to hurry or we'll miss it"

"Whoa, whoa! What's going on? Matt, why are you guys leaving?!" I ripped the covers off the bed and walked up to Ryan.

"Matts mom is in the hospital, we got a call about fifteen minutes ago. We're going home to help her. I'm really sorry guys, but we can only get two seats" he looked to us in the midst of shoving his luggage into his bag.

"Don't worry about us, we'll be fine. What happens to her? Is she okay?" Jack spoke quickly and worriedly.

"We don't really know, but she has a severe cancer disease. They told us we needed to be there as soon as possible" he zipped up his case and started walking to the door, "I'm really sorry guys. We really have to go" Ryan stood in the doorway for a moment. He looked to Jack and I with a sad face before he turned away. The door slammed and Jack and I looked to each other. We tried to follow them to the lobby, but Matt was practically running. Jack looked really worried about his mom. I stopped to think about it and realized what had happened.

Matt and Ryan had gone home to his cancerous mother, who might die! Leaving Jack and I alone in Japan!

Jack looked at me with tears forming.
"What are we going to do? We're in the middle of Japan and Matts mom is in trouble! I'm really worried about her." I hugged him and rubbed his back in comfort,

"don't worry, she'll be fine I'm sure" I wasn't sure if that was true and it made we scared.

I ran my hand through Jacks hair pulling him closer to me. His tears he was holding slowly fell from his eyes, onto my chest.

Time passes and I suggested that we got the idea of Matts mom out of our heads. We walked over to a nearby McDonald's. Jack ate his fries with a sad look. I tore the fry in his mouth in half and ate it. He looked up at me from his trance and smiled.

Jack held a fry up for me to eat and I simply ate it smiling at him. We talked about new coming games and funny old videos until the sun went down. The workers just watched us and waited patiently.

Jack saw the night turning dim and suggested that we left.

"Hey, do you think Matt and Ryan will come back?" He stared into my eyes with a concerning face.

"I'm not sure, they will probably stay there for a while. There's no real reason to come back for us, we're fine on our own" I looked up at the stars. It was beautiful, but barely visible from the city lights.

"I have an idea! How about we go see the stars? We should go to a park nearby and watch the stars" I suggested. His face lit up and he looked up to what I was looking at. He smiled and nodded still looking at the sky.
