Chapter 1

*Niall's P.O.V*

'Another day of school.' I thought as I woke up.

I wasn't very popular at school, I was just an average guy. Quite like a few others. I played on the school football team and that was the only reason most people knew my name. Little known fact; I was gay.

It was my senior year and it was already the second semester. It had gone fast.

I got up and got dressed for school.

'Niall honey? Your lunch is ready. The bus will be here in 15 minutes.' My mum called up the stairs.

'Be down soon mum.' I yelled back.

I went into the bathroom to style my hair which usually took 10 minutes. This morning though it was being difficult. By the time I was finished I had to run down stairs, grab my lunch, kiss my mum on the cheek and sprint at the closing doors of the school bus.

I looked around the bus and found a seat next to one of my best mates Louis.

'Hey Nialler. 'sup?' Louis called out across the bus as I made my way over.

Louis was loud, popular and really good at football. We had been friends since we were 12 which was probably the only reason he hadn't ditched me for the cool kids like Harry Styles. He hung with me and my other best mate Liam.

Liam was chilled back and was a ladies man. He wasn't very popular but everyone knew his name. He joined our group in 10th grade when he came from another school.

'Sup Louis. Liam.' I said as I took a seat right next to the isle, next to Louis and behind Liam.

Liam turned around and talked to us the whole bus ride. About the usual. new girls, asking if any guys had caught my eye lately and teasing Louis as he checked his hair non-stop.

The school bus arrived at school and everyone piled out of the bus as they did every morning, almost squashing me in the process.

Once we were off the bus we headed to our lockers and took out our books for the day. First subject, Math.

Math was boring as always. Liam and I sat at the back of the classroom and made fun of the teacher the whole time.

We then moved on to English which again was very boring. We were learning about poetry which meant watching all of Shakespeare's plays.

When we headed out to lunch I walked back to my locker by myself. When I had put my books away I turned around to see the most beautiful face I had ever seen.

He had perfect smooth skin with dark brown hair paired with warm, inviting chocolate brown eyes. His clothes screamed bad boy but the eyes told another story. He created a sense of mystery.

I noticed I had been staring too long so I turned back to my locker but when I turned back, he was gone. I needed to know who he was.

I hurried to the cafeteria and grabbed some food. I sat there nibbling my food and day dreaming about the guy. The mystery guy.

'Nialler, you seem a bit out of it. What's up?' Liam asked.

'Uhh nothing.' I said. Anyone who knew me, knew I couldn't lie at all.

'Ooo Niall! Is there a guy?!' Liam shouted.

'Liam shut up, shut up. There's no guy.' I lied again.

'Who is he!' Liam shouted in a whisper.

'Uhh I don't actually know who he is. But he's dark, handsome and mysterious. His looks are absolutely perfect and his smile...' I mumbled on for a while about this mystery guy.
