Chapter 4

*Zayn's P.O.V*

My first subject was music so I had to look presentable.

No. I had to look perfect for him.

I walked to my wardrobe and found an outfit that would look alright next to his flawless perfection. I wore red skinny jeans, a white v-neck muscle shirt and my black leather jacket over the top.

I didn't quite know what was happening to me. I had never felt such things, especially not for a guy. I wasn't gay, right? Niall and I were just friends. I think.

But when I held his hand the other day it just felt so perfect. Like there was an electrical charge that flowed through our skin to one another. I guess I would just see what happened and go with the flow.

I brushed my teeth until they were completely spotless and styled my quiff until it was perfect.

I headed down the stairs and had an apple. I checked the time every 5 minutes, wanting to get to school but not wanting to get there too early.

It was around 8 o'clock when I left which meant I arrived at school earlier than I normally did at 8:15.

I knew that Niall had to catch the bus but I didn't know when the bus got to school and I didn't know where Niall sat at lunch and before school.

He probably wasn't even interested.

*Niall's P.O.V*

I woke up knowing that I had music first on Thursday's.

I found my best casual outfit which happened to be my blue skinnies, a white shirt, a black jacket and my blue, white and black high tops.

At least if I was wearing my best I could look half decent next to Zayn.

I looked myself up and down in the mirror still not liking what I saw.

I styled my hair. This time I didn't settle for my usual spiked hair do but I attempted the quiff that Zayn seemed to get so perfectly.

I brushed my teeth until they were flawlessly smooth and my breath was minty fresh.

I checked my reflection in the full length mirror again and settled for looking alright at best.

I walked to the kitchen rummaging through the pantry looking for food. I had always had a big appetite. I just loved food.

I grabbed the box of cereal that sat at the very front of the pantry and poured enough in a bowl for myself.

I then proceeded to sit at the breakfast bar and watch the tv that my mom had left on. She always left early on Thursday mornings.

When I had finished eating it still wasn't 8 o'clock. I just wanted to get to school and spend time with Zayn.

My mind clouded with doubt as I thought too far into our encounters.

He probably wasn't even gay. He hadn't made any moves. He seemed so level headed and cool around me that he probably wasn't effected by my presence one single bit. He was nice to me but wasn't that just manners.

All these thoughts drifted through my head making me feel down. Liam's words shone through though. Maybe I did have a chance.

I heard the bus pull up outside and I quickly grabbed my bag and ran towards it.

I hopped on the bus and like every morning I found my rightful seat next to Louis.

He and Liam were chatting away and nodded their acknowledgement my way when I sat. They were in a deep conversation about sports. I decided I wasn't in the mood so I plugged in my headphones and blocked out the world surrounding me. Calming music swallowed me up and my thoughts meshed to the beautiful flowiness and rhythm of the song.
