Indigo was still in full mourning mode. She looked out the window and hurt so bad. The rain was especially heavy today. She remembered all of the good times and good laughs her and Mani shared. She remembered living in Flint and talking to Mani everyday about the craziness in Flint. Mani was her only female friend who understood her and didn't envy her. When she had nothing or nobody, Armani opened up her home to her and didn't expect anything for a month. Armani was her shoulder to cry on and the only good part about moving to Detroit.

She saw her beautiful face and smile in her brain and closed her eyes as the tears fell rapidly.

Treasure grabbed his keys and left and once again showed Indigo no support. She shook her head as she cried and wished she could've ran off with Armani that night.

''After everything you take my fucking best friend!? You fucking take Tommy but you killed Mani! Really!? After everything that's what you do to me?'' Indigo screamed enraged with tears raging down her face, ''Why!?'' Indigo said flipping over tables and knocking things over as rage consumed her. She felt like no god exist in this cold world.

Over the next week, Indigo stayed in a fog and even stopped dealing with Amere, Ree, and Joya. All of this shit was fake, but Mani was real. Tommy was real. Treasure fell asleep next to her and she looked at his face for the first time she thought about leaving him. He wasn't supportive of her at all and she thought back to all the times he put his hands on her and he would apologize and do it again.

'Marcus was your main mans so how couldn't you know? Marcus loved Mani....yes they fucked with other people but he never disrespected her...ever. He was a sucka for Mani and wouldn't let a hair fall out of place on her head.' Indigo thought. The thought of Marcus killing Armani and then killing himself was so out of bound and ludicrous.

'Ain't no way in hell...' Indigo thought. Marcus was not the jealous type at all and he was silly and goofy. Armani let Indigo know everything about her love life and Marcus was not an aggressive, controlling nigga at all. It seemed so unlikely. Marcus was a gentleman and never even said the word bitch or hoe. He was a drug dealer but a good guy, Indigo knew him and Mani and it just didn't seem right.

'Why would Treasure say they moving to Atlanta? Mani said she'll never leave the D...' nothing added up and Indigo's head hurt. She looked at Trey and that eerie, horrible feeling returned. The next morning she called her grandmother while Trey left.

''Hey grams...'' Indigo said sitting Indian style on the couch with her face and eyes red as a tomato. She dialed a number she thought she wouldn't dial again.

''Indigo? That you?''

''Yeah it's me grandma....'' Indigo said as she sniffled.

''Hey where ya been sweetie?''

''Around...I just...how are you?''

''Good....can you come over here by chance or I come to you? I wanna see you.''

''Yeah I'll come to you.''

Indigo did nothing to her hair but leave it in two braids for days and just threw on a love pink tank top and jogging pants on. She called an uber and rode out to her grandmother's house. Sitting in her grandmother's house reminded her that she always had a home she was just to hurt from her father to see that. Her grandma and uncle Lavelle loved her but in her eyes, they were judging her which they weren't so she disrespected them and left. She was tired of feeling powerless so she thought moving away would give her power when it only gave her a can full of hell and now people are dead and she's living with a murderer who puts his hands on her.

Indigo sat at the kitchen table as catfish went through her nostrils. The greasy kitchen with the crosses everywhere gave Indigo a sense of home. Her grandmother was short and light skin with curly black hair that she dyed black. She had on her plain white tank top and cloud patterned pajama pants.

''I miss ya baby...you was neva' kicked out.'' her grandmother said with a mixture of her Detroit and Georgia accent.

''I miss you too grams and now I see that. Now I see that...I was my worst enemy in this case.''

''You know your mama and daddy was always calling and seeing how you was...''

''Yeah well thats another subject. They kicked me out over some bull...''

''They wanted you to come back tho and they apologized and apologized and you refused to go back.''

''Well your son and his wife...they'll say sorry but the moment they feel like I got too much freedom they'll knock me off my high horse and shut it down. I hated still having curfews and them going through my phone, thats not okay I'm nineteen years old grandma. They were so smothering that...that I lost all my ambition for anything and na I lost things I can't get back.''

Indigo's grandmother looked into her grand daughters eyes and saw sorrow and a broken girl. She knew Indigo was fighting but didn't know what. She asked and asked many questions but Indigo shot her down.

''Where are you living? Who are you with?''

''I'm...'' Indigo shook her head and rubbed her forehead.

''Mani? You were with her?''

''Mani....is...she's dead grams. She passed away.'' Indigo said as those tears slipped out of her eyes and she experienced pain once more. She dried her tears so her tears wouldn't wash away the concealer.

Her grandma knew her grand daughter was going through it but didn't know that Indigo had been through different cities in hell and she was burning and getting eaten alive. She was crushed and felt strangled by the ropes of life. Her grandma cried with her remembering Mani and how close she and Indigo were in high school. She heard about Mani dying on the news and knew Indigo was okay physically but knew she was emotionally damaged. She was so happy she had called.

''Grandma please...please can I stay here? please?'' Indigo sobbed and cried. At a time where her beautiful best friend was now dead, she just wanted to be around love. She started to doubt that Treasure even loved her.

In walked her uncle Velle who saw his niece crying and embracing his mother and he looked into her low eyes and face. He saw the shine in her gone. Life had cracked her and he hugged her immediately.

''We miss you niecy pooh, you were always welcomed no matter what.''

Indigo stayed with her family for the next three hours and noticed Treasure blowing her up.

''I'll come move all my stuff in by the end of the week...I'm staying with a friend.''

''I'll come with you to get your stuff now.'' her uncle said sternly hearing some fear in her voice.

''No its nothing like that I just don't wanna up and leave you know.'' Indigo said trying to sound okay but nothing was okay.
