Chapter 5

Rose's POV

I feel breathing down my back and I immediately jolt up to see Jake sleeping beside me.

"What the fuck!" I yell. Jake quickly jolts up after.

"What happened!?" He panics.

"Oh my god what are you doing here!? We didn't do anything right!?" I panic. A few moments later he kisses me. Jake is kissing me. Why is he kissing me. But lord does it feel so good but soon he pulls back.

"Better?" He whispers in my ear and I just nod.

"Good, yesterday you got drunk, Melanie spoke to me about the whole "leading her on" thing, I told her that it was only 4 days-" he starts but I cut him off.

"Yeah I remember that part but what happened after she left?" I ask.

"well after she left, we were in the patio then you kissed me, I pulled away then Lewis, Vicky's ex, punch Finn, Finn broke his nose, then I was going to leave but you said to stay and sleep with you, we didn't do anything just sleep." He says.

"I kissed you and you pulled away? Wow I feel dumb." I whisper, how could I be so stupid? How could I do that to Melanie?

"No no no! Not like that, I pulled away because you were drunk and I didn't want it to seem like I was taking advantage of you" Jake says. Oh please it's because I'm young and dumb.

"alright whatever, you should go though. You reek." I chuckle.

"Very funny but I guess I'll go now" he replies as he puts on his clothes and walks towards my door.

"See you later Rose" Jake winks, closing my door behind him. Once he's gone I choose an outfit which is just a white strapless romper with black flats. After I'm done doing my morning routine and putting on my outfit, I re-straighten my hair and put minimum amount of makeup. When I'm done with everything I go downstairs to the kitchen and find Jake and Vic in the kitchen eating breakfast.

"Don't you have a home to be in?" I say as I pour myself a bowl of cereal.

"My mom is never home so it's either here with my bestfriend or alone" Jake says with a mouthful of eggs. Eww. I was going to reply but my phone started ringing. Oh good I can't even fucking eat breakfast in peace because people want to talk to me. I take my phone out my pocket and see that Melanie wants to FaceTime so I answer it.

"Hey"

"Hey Rose" She cries.

"What's wrong?"

"How come he lead me on!? What did I do!?"

"Melanie, I heard your conversation with him yesterday and it's true , it's not that I'm taking sides but you can't fall in love in 4 days, he was just flirting with you, this happens with every boy you find cute. This is why you get hurt. I'm here for you but as a bestfriend I'm pointing out your mistake. Don't blame him for breaking your heart. I understand that he lead you on but you're a big girl you should know that from experience that boys flirt with everyone so don't think your special cause you'll end up getting your feelings hurt." I'm honestly not choosing sides but just because you're my friend I'm not always going to say you're right. I told her what was wrong and she has to accept it, there's not much that I can do.

" I'm your bestfriend and you're telling me I'm wrong!? You're choosing his side!" she yells.

"I'm not, as you're bestfriend I'm telling you what you did wrong, I'm not always going to say you're right or then you won't learn. Take it as you want, if you think that I'm choosing sides then that's on you, I'm just trying to explain what happened."
