Chapter 7

Rose's POV

Ringggggg...... Ringggggg....

I wake up to my phone ringing and I blindly answer it.

"Hello" I say groggily.

"It's Melanie" she states.

"What?" I ask still sleepy.

"So you were with Jake yesterday on a date?" She asks and I finally sit up.

"No, we just went out to eat with Brandon and Victoria as well"

"Who's Brandon?"

"He's Jake's friend" I sigh

"Oh. Jake. So after he breaks my heart, you still hang out with him" she laughs humorless.

"Okay I'm not going to start arguing with you. I was with Jake and 2 other people. Not just him and I. I understand that he hurt you but listen, He is my friend, you are my friend, I told you I'm not choosing sides so I'm not, I have to go now, bye." I hang up then sigh. I sat in bed for a few more minutes then decided to get up and shower. After I'm done showering I slip on some undergarments and throw on a black t-shirt dress over me and white converse. After I finished getting dress, I put on a layer of mascara and chapstick, put my hair up in a messy bun, grabbed my phone and headed downstairs.

"Hm giving me easy access today?" Jake smirks looking at me up and down as I enter the kitchen. I ignore his comment.

"Where's Vic?" I ask.

"Working" he answers. I don't answer, I just take out a bowl,spoon,pour some cereal and milk in it and start eating.

"Why do you look angry?" Jake asks after a while.

"I'm not"

"Yes you are"

"No I'm not"

"Can you just tell me?" He whines

"It's nothing" I finalize.

""Pleaseeeeeeee" oh my god.

"If I tell you would you shut the fuck up?"

"Yes" he smiles sarcastically.

"Well first it's Sunday and school starts tomorrow and second it's Melanie, she gets upset whenever I hang out with you, totally missing the fact that I'm also with 2 other people. It's so annoying." I sigh.

"You can hang out with whoever you want, it's your choice not hers."

"Anyways what are the plans for today?" I change the subject not wanting to talk about it anymore.

"Well we have the house to ourselves for 2 more hours" Jake winks.

"In your dreams buddy" I chuckle before I finish eating my cereal.

"but seriously I think we should go out shopping" I say excitedly.

"Oh nope, I'm not going, girls that go shopping are the worst" he says shaking his head.

"Pleaseeeee!" I gave him my puppy dog eyes before he finally agreed.

"Yay! Let's go!"

"You know it's walking distance so we are going walking which means whatever you buy you're going to have to carry all the way back here" he says before we head out the door.

"Who cares, you're going to help me anyways" I smile. A few minutes later we finally arrive at the mall, I start heading towards forever 21 Jake following behind.
