"Th- this is unnatural, these comets they're grouping together and there is such an abnormal amount of them." A man wearing a lab coat comes closer to a monitor "Eight of them in total" the man coming closer responds. "Thanks, mister -umm, what's your name anyway?" Responds to the man who originally stood in front of the monitor. "Sorry, we were never formally introduced. My name is Dr. Marcus." The young man seemed to be proud and confident in his title.
"Well, Dr. Marcus please explain what it is I am seeing." The man pointed at the monitor "Well Mr. Chan this is an uh ...an um ... a thing I've never seen before." "You are of no use to me." reclaimed Mr. Chan "What are we supposed to tell the public! They'll go mad with their conspiracies!" Dr. Marucs chuckles "That has a very simple solution Mr. Chan, we will tell them this has happened before, it's not a new phenomenon or maybe a theory NASA had long ago. The public is easily tricked, they will believe us, they have no choice." Dr. Marcus obviously nervous still seems confident that his idea will work. "It's us or be a mad man because you won't listen to the words of science" He concluded shakily. "Are you OK Dr. Marcus?" responded Mr. Chan "Sorry, in all honesty, I'm worried about what will happen" "Don't worry doctor, we have it covered."
12 years later a hill somewhere in Washington state, the United States of America.
"It's July 2002 and one of the eight comets of The Golden Ring phenomenon will be passing over Earth right now." News reporters are staring at the sky announcing all types of things over the beautiful ball of light with tail in the sky.
"Many people are skeptical over the reasons NASA has given for this phenomenon" A sudden burst of orange light comes from the comet. A loud explosion rings out as the comet splits into two fragments. Panic consumes the crowd. The people of the world eagerly await the words of NASA and other officials to hear their reasoning over the events.
The government covers up for the explosion with an abnormal amount of magnesium present in the comet as well as heat from coming too close to the Earth's atmosphere burning the comet up, igniting the explosion. This happens, again and again, two more times in 2002, five times in 2003, and every time an explosion of blinding light and color was observed. Every time, the comets would split into two pieces. It was always estimated where they landed but they could never be located. Many things were speculated about why the comets came, where they went, &what the many and great nations were doing to keep their citizen wild imaginations at bay. Many years passed, and the world was normal. Seldom do people remember The Golden Ring.
