Leilani Kekoa's Pov

- now -

I could feel my phone vibrate the table. I picked it up, since it was face down, and read the caller id. 'Jason Gideon.'

I pressed the 'accept' and then held the phone to my ear. "Hey Jason." I said.

Jason Gideon was an old family friend. I recently asked him if he could do me any favors to get a job in the FBI, or anything for that matter. When my parents died a year ago, I wanted to honor them. I didn't want to follow the same path; enter military at 18 years old and then get PTSD because of war, so I called Jason to see if he could do anything.

"Hey Leilani. How are you?" He said.

"I'm good, Jason. Is retirement good to you?" I joked. I could hear him sigh.

"Don't get your hopes up. It's a shot, but I recommended you to S.S.A. Aaron Hotchner in Quantico, Virginia. He said he'll look over your files." Jason said.

"Oh my god, thank you Jason!" I said happily. "I really appreciate it, really do."

"No problem. I'll call you if I hear anything from Hotch." He said.

"Thanks again Jason." I was smiling from ear to ear. The call ended and I shut off my phone.

"Yes, yes, yes!" I said to my self. I headed toward the kitchen where Kelani might have been. Kelani is my younger sister, visiting the weekend. She's usually at military training for the most part.

"Kelani! Kelani! I might have gotten the job!" I practically screamed.

"You did? That's amazing!" She popped her head from behind the open door of the fridge. Ke closed it and then walked over to me. She pulled me into a hug and then I hugged her back.

"I hope you get it." She smiled.

"Yeah, I hope so too." I smiled.

Aaron Hotchner's Pov

I looked through a file Gideon gave me. He recommended this girl for the team, and said to look it over so I did. In my opinion, I think this girl is perfect for the team, but I don't know how the team will take it.

I went throughout the bullpen, telling Rossi, Morgan, Garcia, J.J., Reid and Prentiss to meet in the case room.

"What's up Hotch?" Derek asked. Everyone was sitting in their seats, waiting for me to speak.

"Gideon sent me somebody's file, and told me she'd be great for the team." I said, pulling out the girl's file.

I placed it on the table and opened it. There were military pictures, pictures of dog tags, the honorable discharge, her whole hacking fiasco, and a small note inside?

"I've read this somewhere, this name is familiar. Leilani Kekoa," Reid stared intently at the pages. "Garcia, can you get me the '2013 Massachusetts College Murders' files?"

"Okay, boy-genius." Penelope got out of her seat and presumably to get a file box. Everyone had the same thought in their head; what did murders have to do with a new agent? However, they didn't question his ways, they only sat back and watched.

"So everybody in the family is military; the sister, both parents, and even herself for awhile." Prentiss said.

"Dad has PTSD, then commits suicide, and Leilani gets an honorable discharge for it."

Garcia came back with the box, and Reid practically tore it open.

He shuffled through folders and pulled out a victim's file, and then compared it to the one on the table.

"These are the exact same." J.J. questioned when she took a look at both of them together.

"Leilani was the almost-victim when we caught William Jackson, the unsub. Same exact background and information." Reid said and passed around the files. Everybody had surprised looks on their faces, as they showed on each other the file.

"Another girl. We are getting overpowered." Morgan joked, causing most of the team to fall to laughter. Once it got to me, I had to read it for my self. I checked everything, and everything it was the same. How could I have missed this?

"She's someone we saved, is she going joining because of that?" Prentiss asked.

"No, I doubt it. Gideon recommended her, said she was good, and I think we need a new face among the team." I said. "You can give me your opinions privately if you'd like. Get back to work now."

I pushed back my chair and everyone else did the same, and walked out talking about the new recruit.

"I guess it looks like she's joining the bureau." I heard Reid say to J.J.

I hope I made the right choice.
