Third person POV

Adam rushed into the hospital and opened the door to Katherine's room. "I saw what happened are you alright?" He asked her and Katherine sat up slowly. "I'm fine, where have you been?" She asked and Adam sighed. "I've been in a restaurant all day working, I saw the accident on the news." He told her and she sighed. "Of course it would be on the news." She muttered and Adam placed his hand on her arm. "Are you sure your ok?" He asked and Katherine took his hand off her arm. "I told you I'm fine." She snapped as she glared at him and he took a step back. "Alright sweetheart no need to get boss lady on me." Adam said as he laughed.

Gabriel's POV

I've been having a feeling these past few hours that one things not right in this group. Nina walked into my office and looked at me. "You needed me?" She asked and I nodded. "I need you to track Adams phone, anywheres he's been, people he messages, and his calls." I told her and Nina frowned. "You think he was behind the accident?" She asked and I gave her a small nod. "He was gone first thing in the morning and he didn't show up when I called you all." "But if he did, Katherine would have recognized his voice." Nina said as she crossed her arms.

I thought of every reason and every reasonable explanation I know Adam couldn't have anything to do with it but I know something deep down is telling me he's up to something. "Nina, just do the god damn task." I spatted at her and she quickly nodded as she left the office, I sighed lightly and ran a hand through my hair as millions of thoughts processed through my mind.

30 minutes later I decided to check on Katherine again, leaving her alone is bad and I can't have that after the accident. I walked into her room and saw Adam in a chair talking to Katherine, as I walked in I decided to make my presence known. "Where were you when I called Adam?" His head quickly snapped towards me and let out a soft sigh. "I was at a restaurant doing some work, the minute I heard Katherine was in an accident I did the best thing I could to get here." Adam explained as he leaned back in the chair and I chuckled and nodded placing my hands in my pockets on my pants. "Ok. Anyways how are you feeling?" I turn my attention to Katherine and she groaned lightly closing her eyes. "The next person to ask me will get a bullet in their
head." Adam and I let out a laugh and Katherine joined in seconds later.

Next Day

Third person POV

While Gabriel stayed at the hospital with Katherine, Nina and Nathan checked on Adams cellphone through Nina's laptop. Shockingly they were able to get an audio on the last call he made. 'Gabriel and Katherine will be heading out in the morning for a meeting.' 'Great, I'll get one of my best guys on the job to take over one of the cars.' Nina and Nathan looked at each other and Nathan quickly dialed Gabriel's number. "This better be important, your disturbing my sleep Nathan." Gabriel responded from the other end of the line. "It's Adam, he's working with someone, Nina is running voice recognition on the audio we were able to get." Gabriel sat up carefully not to wake Katherine. "Keep talking Summers." He ordered. "Adam knew you guys were going to the meeting." "Of course he knows he manages the company meetings, say something useful." Nathan sighed and took a deep breath before speaking. "He wanted one of you hurt or killed because the other person sent someone in." Gabriel frowned as he thought, he knew there weren't any hit men which could mean one thing. "There's another gang."
