Alex's pov*
As soon as I started walking away from Blake, I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. He was gone. Well, not completely but he was sprawled on the floor. I don't know if I'll ever be able to murder someone. I mean, when it comes down to someone either trying to hurt someone I love, or trying to kill them, then yes. I will kill them.
I quickly went over to Hunter and hugged him.
"Thank you so much Hunter," My head was rested on his chest from where I had hugged him, I pulled back slightly so I could look at his eyes. Hunter suddenly laced our fingers together and I felt it. I felt the warmth spread right up my arm and through my body, stopping at my stomach where I got a weird feeling. I couldn't tell if that feeling was good or bad but I'm pretty sure that was just instinct to Hunter, considering he'd of done this with so many girls before. I dropped my gaze to the floor, slightly scuffing my black converse, "I don't know if you and Blake were tight or anything but thank you for standing up for me like tha-"
"Hey," he put two finger underneath my chin, lifting my head up to meet his gaze once again. "Blake's a douche. Plus, your worth it" he said, winking at me and cracking a small smile. I've literally known him for god knows how long, and I am already starting to like him. If I were Lauren, I would've fell straight for Hunter the minute he started talking.. But I'm not Lauren.
We both turned back around to see Lauren and Brandon. Lauren wasn't crying anymore, thank god.
"Come on, we have to keep moving" Brandon shouted, just loud enough for us to hear. Me and Hunter jogged over to them, but as Hunter was taller than me, I practically ran.
We had almost caught up with them then I saw people moving out of the corner of my eye.
"Lauren" I whispered to her as she was infront of me. "Keep Moving, don't look to your left. It'll be okay. Just keep moving" I saw her hand suddenly grasp onto Brandons. I don't think she'd seen the people who are in masks though. That would probably scare her more than she needs to be.
Hunters hand came into contact with mine as he gave it a reassuring squeeze. I could tell me was nervous for me, and for himself, considering I was closest out of us both to these masked people.
"Don't worry" he whispered in my ear.
"I'm not" I shot back at him but once the words came out of my mouth, I knew I was scared. That's why I shot back at him.
I squeezed his hand, just to make sure he wasn't hurt that I just did that. He started moving his thumb up and down my thumb, I guess that means he didn't take offence or anything to it.
I felt Hunter flinch beside me as the not so great sound of shouts and cheers came from my right, away from the masked people. I quickly grab the back of Lauren's top with my free hand, making her halt to a stop.
"What is that?" Brandon queries me.
"I don't know. It doesn't sound good though" I said, letting the words leave my mouth. I had no time to be scared or worried, I had to be strong for these 3 people who are here with me. I had to be strong.
"ALEX" Hunter suddenly shouted in my ear, as I turned my head the opposite way and saw a masked guy about to swing at me with some sort of knife. I ducked and put my hands on the guys chest, pushing him backwards, causing him to drop the knife. I stepped towards the guy, kicking the knife out of his reach and took hold of his face, "I'm not the weak girl you thought I was" I said, venom dripping from my every word, I then ripped off the mask and punching him with all the bottled up anger that was inside of me. He fell to the floor, from the force of my hit. I don't train for nothing.
I punched him once more, knocking him out or possibly killing him, I'm not too sure . I grabbed the knife, that i had kicked, off the floor and looked around. There was about 5 more people with masks on, coming at us with knives and other weapons. I was lucky that that guy wasn't that strong. I don't know how strong I am compared to these people.
"We need to get out of here" Hunter said, looking at Brandon and Lauren with urgency in his eyes. They both looked back at Hunter with wide eyes and nodded quickly, seeming eager to get the hell out of this place.
