chapter 4

I awoke to Shelby yelling bread roller from her room. "SHUT UP!" I yelled. "GIRLS TIME FOR BREAKFAST!" Denis yelled from the kitchen. Me and Shelby looked at each other and ran to the stairs. I slid down the railing while Shelby just jumped down the stairs and almost broke her leg. I laughed as I sat at the table first. "I win." I said laughing. Shelby mocked my laugh in a snobby voice. Ronnie and jc were racing to the table too and got in a tie. "Damn" Ronnie said panting. Jc sat next to Shelby and Ronnie sat next to me. Jaime sat plates and cups on the table and then put silverware on everyone's plate. Viv filled the cups with orange juice. And then Ben put pancakes in the mile of the table then kissed my forehead. Jaime walked past Shelby and hugged her. "I have to go to the store, love you." Shelby looked at him. "Love you too." She said. Vice an over to Jaime and kisses him. "Don't be long." Vic said smiling. "I won't." Jaime said laughing. That's when a man slowly walked down the stairs with a bag of weed. He was already smoking some anyways. He slowly made it to the kitchen where he grabbed a pancake. "I'm your uncle mike." He said with his eyes half open. Me and Shelby stood there, blankly. Uncle Mike walked to the fridge and drank straight from the orange juice. I looked in disgust. Uncle Mike dropped the juice on the floor and walked into the living room where he fell asleep on the ground. Everyone started laughing, even me. After breakfast Shelby went to hang out with Jc so Ronnie took me to look at the instruments. I saw drums. I picked up a pair of drum sticks and started playing. Ronnie started playing piano to the drums. "Your not that bad." He said laughing. "My friend Ryan is really good too." He said. "Ryan is coming back from Brazil tomorrow though." Ronnie said laughing. "Cool." I said laughing. "I really like you." Ronnie said. I looked at him, direct eye contact. "What?" I said confused. "I said I really like you." He repeated. He leaned in and kissed me on the lips. I blushed. He walked away embarrassed. I chased him. "WAIT!" I yelled. He turned around. I ran over and hugged him really tight. He kissed my cheek and then took my hand to show me something. He brought me outside and pulled me into the woods. We ran for about a quarter mile until we were standing in front of a huge treehouse. "This place is filthy!" I yelled. "FILTH FRIENDS UNITE!" I heard someone say. "SHELBY!" I yelled. "BREAD ROLLER!" Shelby yelled back laughing. Shelby climbed down the ladder leading to the tree house with jc behind her. Jc was laughing but stopped when he saw ronnie. "Funny seeing you two here." Jc said looking at ronnie. "OOPS!" Ronnie said. "I'm sorry, I didn't know this spot was for jc and his.... girlfriend or whatever." I snickered but stopped immediately after ronnie squeezed my hand, signaling me to stop. "How about a double date?" I suggested. "Fine." Jc and Ronnie said. We went into the tree house. It basically ended up into playing truth or dare. I asked shelby. "Truth or dare? Shelby look around. "Dare!" She said. "I dare you to hit jc in the head with the bread roller!" Shelby laughed and tapped his head with the bread roller. "You never said how hard." Next Shelby looked around. "RONNIE" She said. "Truth or dare?" Ronnie said truth. "Tell us why you and jc don't like each other, the truth." Jc looked at ronnie. Ronnie looked at jc.
