Hello lovelies!!
I am not sure if you guys have looked at my message board but if you did or didn't I would like to let you guys know. So about two months ago I was in school and as I walked across the classroom my knee popped and I almost fell but I caught myself on a desk. After walking to my moms car I was in tears and extreme pain. I got home and my mother and father looked at my knee and it was extremely swollen. After doing some research the mayo clinic website said to go to a doctor after 48 hours of swolleness(I don't think that's a word but whatever). So 48 hours later it was still swollen. So I got a appointment with my primary doctor and we headed up. After a long time of waiting I finally got in to be looked at. It was still swollen and my doctor diagnosed tore tendons, ligaments, and muscles. That was something that she knew I didn't need surgery. She took me out of PE for two weeks and gave me a brace for two weeks. After wearing my brace I was sore but feeling good. I was only in school for three more days and my finals were over. So skip two and a half weeks. I started feeling pain again and it was swollen off and on. After about three days my mother took my back to the doctors and she gave me six weeks of physical therapy and told me wear my brace off and on for awhile. So went to my first therapy appointment about two weeks ago. The Physical therapy doctor said that I did have torn tendons, ligaments and muscles but their was a chance I torn this cup shaped tendon in my knee where my ACL and PCL are called my meniscus. He gave me exercises to do for two weeks and told me to watch out for locking and to be very careful with what I did. Then we made a follow up for two weeks later.
So time skip to my next appointment.
I went yesterday to my appointment but something terrible happened. The night before my appointment I was at my aunts house and I had my leg propped up and my 4 year old cousin got mad and sat on my knee and it popped back and he clutched on and it was really bad. He ways around 40 so it was painful. My leg was really bad after that and I couldn't walk and the worst thing was since my first appointment my leg had locked many times which was a sign that I torn my meniscus. So at my appointment the physical therapist was shocked and he showed me more exercises to do but they hurt bad. I told him what happened the night before and how I had been experiencing locking. Well he thinks now that I still had the torn stuff but believes I may have tore my meniscus. He said he was going to talk to my primary doctor and see if I should get a MRI. I still haven't heard back from him and he talked to me and my mom about it an junk. And after some discussing the only way to fix it is to either let it heal on its on it is just mild but that takes months like around 6 months. Or surgery which will also have a very lengthy recovery. For this reason I may have to undergo surgery. I will not be updating a lot because of pain an stress. I will try to update as much as possible but I will be busy with other stuff. I hope you understand and I promise to keep you guys updated. I will post things on my message board so feel free to follow me if you aren't and see the updates I post. This is a picture I found that would help me and everyone else understand the thing in my knee. I hope it never happens to you because let me say it is freaking painful.Love Myah 😻😜😍
