Caught Up

Chapter 3

Victoria POV

I laid in the tub sobbing, trying to wash off the germs from the night before. I couldn't help but to feel slutty. It seems like every time i think I've found the right person for me its always something there to fuck it up. I scrubbed my thighs so hard to where it started to bleed. "Shit!" I cursed as the water stung my now sore legs. I let out the water and wrapped a towel around my body.

"Hey." Antwan said knocking on the door. "I was just letting you know that I am on my way out, and I hope that we can hang out sometime soon if thats okay with you. " "No, thats fine. your dick is way to small." Is really what i wanted to say, but instead i said "Sure. We can." while plastering a smile on my face. He came and wrapped his arms my body. "Next time imma put this dick up all inside of you!" he whispered in my ear causing chills to go down my spine. I let out a small chuckled and walked him to the door. I lotioned up and got dressed waiting on Sam, my driver, to pick me up.

"Hey Ms. Parker." Mia called out to me as i walked to my office. I simply ignored her and walked to my desk. I wasn't in the mood to talk at all today. I just wanted to get everything ready for this partnership banquet that is slowly approaching.

"Mia" i called on the intercom. Moments later i heard my door opening.

"Mia can you get me a bagel w/cinamon & cream and a cup of coffee with two creams and 3 sugars." I said without looking up. I continue to type up an email to one of the owners who wants me to co-partner with them and their company. I was busy to notice someone place the items on my desk. I turned to tell her thank you but was shocked when I saw Antwan standing their with a bouquet of roses smiling. I slightly rolled my eyes before I smiled. "I decided to suprise you for lunch. Last night we really didn't do a lot of talking if you know what I mean." he said rubbing the back of his head. "I know right, thanks but no thanks. I mean you are a nice guy and all but I don't go on lunch until 3 and its 1 so what. thats a whole two hours. Maybe another time." I said while turning back to my computer.

"Come on Victoria you can go early just this one time." i looked at him with a stern look. "No." I said as he came my desk and got on his knees. "Please I really like you and want to get to know you a lot more." he said poking out his lip. I couldn't help but to chuckle. Even though his sex game was trash Antwan was cute and maybe lunch wouldn't be bad just this one it time. "Okay. Okay. Fine let me just tell Mia im leaving." i said and I grabbed my coat and walked out the office with wiht him on my ass.

"Mia Im about to leave for lunch early. Is there anything you need while I'm out." I asked but she didn't move. "Mia." i called out but there was still no response. I started to walk around her desk to see what was wrong but she hurried and turn around in her seat with tears pooling in her eyes. "No ma'am everything is fine. Just go ahead. I can just wait until you get back." she smiled at me. "No. I'm not leaving until you tell me whats wrong." i turned to Antwan and motioned for him to wait for me in his car. "Its nothing. I just got a call from my mom telling me that my cousins are in the hospital. She said that their was an explosion at their house or something and they calling the family to the hospital, because it doesn't look so good." she cried. "Okay. You can leave Mia. I'm sorry to hear the news, but you are not in any condition to leave so I will drive you okay." i said while hugging her. After all Mia has done for me this is the least i can do. When we reached the garage Sam was waiting at the door for us to enter.

"Victoria! What's going on." Antwan called coming up to the car. "Look I'm sorry but there seems to be an emgerency and I have to leave." "What about our little date." he said "Maybe another time okay." I said gettting fustrated. "Right now is not the time okay." and with that i closed the door and told Sam to drive off. I didn't want to seem rude but Mia needs me here for her right now. And choosing to go to lunch with Antwan over her wouldn't really sit well in my heart.

I wrapped my arms around her as she continue to sob. Since the hospital was on the other side of the city it would take about 30 minutes or more to get there since its rush hour. "It's okay Mia. I'm sure everything will be fine." I reassured her laying her head back on shoulder as we rode the rest of the way in silence.

Christopher POV

"Aye bruh wake up!"

"Chris get yo ass up Now!" My eyes shot open to see Makhi in a wheelchair looking at me.

"Damn bruh. Whats good. I said scotting up in the bed dapping him up. "Shit everything aiite I guess. Doc said I'm lucky to be alive so I guess thats a blessing. But shit ion feel like im blessed." he said shaking his head. "Nigga yo ass still got breath in your body. Thats a big as blessing right there. You better start apreciaiting that shit!" I said. We sat there in silence for a minute before i though about last night. Wondering if my mama was okay I hopped out the bed snatching the covers off of me. "Wait nigga!" Makhi said wheeling over to me. "Wassup bruh?I gotta go check on my moms and sis." i said trying to open the door, but his wheel stopped me. "Bruh sit down real quick." Makhi said motioning to the bed. "Bruh i aint got time aiite." "Look Chris. Sit down! this is some important shit! aiite!" he said getting impatient. I sucked my teeth and sat on the bed.

"Alright. Look. I heard about what happened last night and I called up Tyrone and he told me that Smokey sent them boys to send a message to us."

"Bruh, on some real nigga shit im getting tired of them boys for real doe. Just right after i left the trap i found moms on the floor in her bathroom covered in blood with a note saying we owe them 2 mil. Then when i put her in the car the shit blew up." I huffed rubbing my head. Shit was starting to get outta hand and i need to put a stop to it before anyone else I love gets hurt. "What the fuck? Are you serious. We ain't even make it out with the money." "Bruh I don't know what the fuck we gon do?"

"But um. Speaking on the accident. May is okay she went home with my moms last night since she wasn't really injured." he said. "Word. What about my moms?" "Thats why I'm in here." he sighed "Look she's in a coma alright. When the car exploded she was thrown into a tree which cause her to have severe trauma to her head. She's alr-" before he could finished I jumped up from the bed and headed to the door. "Aye yo! Way my mama!" I yelled at the nurse. "Sir imma need for you to keep your tone down okay." The nurse whispered to me. "Fuck all that i need to see my mama!" I yelled jogging down the hall calling her name.

"Chris!" I turn down the hall to see Mia running to me with tears in her eyes. "Where's Aunt Lisa?" she asked. "i don't know. I'm tryna find her now." I said. "The nurses won't tell me anything and this shit pissing me off!" I yelled punching a hole in the wall. "Okay look. Mia I will try to see what I can find out." this fine ass female said trying to help. I don't know who she was but getting to know her wasn't on my agenda at the moment. "Lisa Jones right?" she asked causing us to nod our heads. With that she walked down the hall to the nurse's station. Mia sat me down and held on to my arm. "Damn bruh! You must forgot that a nigga is broke!" Makhi said wheeling over to us. I shook my head and held my head down as I waited for an answer. Just the thought of my mama dying made me feel uncomfortable. No me and my mama don't have a good relationship at this moment but knowing that she could be on her death bed makes me want to chnage everything between us. She is my everything. She gave me and my sister life and a place to stay all these years. "Okay. The nurse just told me that she is still in surgery but the Doctor will be out to speak to you guys when ever she can." the woman said as i wiped my tears. "Thank you ma." i said looking up to her. "No problem, any thing for a friend." she said smiling at Mia. "Mia where's Aunt Sheila?" i asked. "She's at work. She couldn't get off. So she told me to come and check up on y'all" I nodded my head and sat back in my seat. With me and Makhi getting shot at and with them coming in the hospital trynna shot us up and with the explosion at my moms house all my energy was drained. So I closed my eyes and relaxed.
