Don't Be Blindsided

I put my phone on the charger and turned my head into the pillow. I had the biggest smile on my face. The light by Michelle was still on because she insists on reading right before she goes to bed. I was turned toward Michelle.

"Why are you smiling so big?" She says

"Because Hayes just told me that I was beautiful!"

"Aren't you just a little scared? I mean what if he's another..."

"Don't say it. Of course I'm scared, I don't want to get hurt again, but I feel different with Hayes, and he definitely treats me better than... you know who." I tell her.

Michelle turned off her light (finally) and I could get some sleep. All that I could think about was Hayes and I at the lodge talking and drinking our hot chocolate. He was so cute, and the way that we made eye contact with each other was the best.

*The Next Morning*

I felt so good waking up in the morning. When I got up I noticed that Michelle was still asleep. I turned over and took my phone off of the charger. When I clicked on the lock screen I had a text from Hayes.

Hayes :)- Good morning Teegan. I hope you slept well. I just wanted you to wake up to a good morning text! I also wanted to say that I have to leave around 10 if you still want to have breakfast, and I want an excuse to talk to you again! I hope to talk to you in person at breakfast!

I was really happy to have that text from Hayes and super excited that he wanted to have breakfast with me again. I looked at the time on my phone and it was around 9. I threw my phone at the end of my bed and hurried out of bed and into the shower. Once I was in the shower I forgot to text Hayes that I was coming, but I'm sure that he will be happy to see me.

When I got out of the shower I decided to wear a long sleeve, black, Adidas  shirt and some athletic shorts. I parted my hair down the middle and french braided each part. I put a little bit of foundation on but I wanted to keep the makeup very light. I also put some mascara on and that's about it. I walked out of the bathroom and noticed that Michelle was just waking up.

"Why are you showered and ready so early?" She said.

"Because Hayes asked me to breakfast since he is leaving today, which makes me sad."

"Wow miss thing got it goin on!"

"Really, Michelle," I gave her a grin.

The time was now 9:30 which ment that I only had a half n hour with Hayes before he leaves. He never mentioned where he was going? Well I hurried and grabbed my phone and my lanyard with my keys.

"Bye Chelle, see you later!" I told her.

"Bye Teeg, have fun with your new boyfriend!"

"Not my boyfriend" I say as I shut the door.

I walk down the hallway and find the elevator. I clicked on the button and the door opened. I got into the elevator and pushed the button that said one on it. Michelle and I were on the fifth floor and it took a little bit to get to the bottom floor. I looked up at the numbers in the elevator and there was a stop on floor three. I was getting anxious because time was running out to talk with Hayes. Just as the door was opening I see someone.  

"Teegan!" Hayes says as he is carrying his suitcase with him.

"Hayes, I was just about to go look for you in the lobby !" 

"No need now, I'm right here."

Hayes got into the elevator and put his suitcase on the floor. He turned to me.

"So, do you want to stay at the cabin and have breakfast or go somewhere else?"

"Well I think it would be cool if we went to eat at the place that we first had hot chocolate which was at the cabin!" I tell him.

"That would be great!" Hayes says as he looks into my eyes. The elevator came to the bottom floor and we headed toward the little cafe in the cabin. Hayes left his suitcase in the lobby and we headed in. Hayes had requested the same table where we had our first hot chocolate together. The waitress showed us to our table and we both sat down. I slid into one side of the table and Hayes sat across from me.

"What do you feel like having?" Hayes asked me.

"I don't know, I'm kinda in the mood for a smoothie and some oatmeal." I tell him

"Sounds good! I want to also have that!" 

The waitress comes over and Hayes orders for the both of us.

"I'm really bummed that I have to leave today. I like talking and getting to know you, even though it has only been 2 days."

"I like talking to you too, and I don't want you to leave either. I have so much to tell you!" I say to Hayes.

Our food arrives and we are eating. Hayes tell me that he is going back to North Carolina where he lives to spend time at home. North Carolina is far away from Toronto. 

"So, what are we suppose to do when you have to go back to North Carolina and I'm still here in Canada?" I asked Hayes.

"I don't know, but I want things to go somewhere and for us to keep talking!" 

"I want that too!"

The time was now around ten o'clock and Hayes' car was here to take him to the airport. We got done with our breakfast early and were just talking about things. Hayes took a picture with me and my hot chocolate and put it on twitter he captioned it "I love breakfast <3" Which I thought was really cute although I looked liked trash. Apparently Hayes thought other wise. He payed for both of our breakfast's even when I told him that I would pay for myself, but he insisted for me not to. We walked to the lobby and Hayes turned to me.

"I really don't want to leave you!" Hayes says.

"I don't want you to leave me either."

Just then Hayes' manager tells him that he needs to go now if he wants to get on his flight. Just then Hayes gives me the biggest hug!

"I will text you when I am about to leave and when I land." He says.

I know that we've just met this weekend but I started to tear up when he said that to me.

"Don't cry T, I'll call you tonight, I promise."

We gave each other one more hug and then Hayes turned around. I start to go back to my room and...

"T wait!" Hayes says.
