Don't Be Blindsided

Hayes came up to me and gave me another hug. 

"You should come with me!" He said.

"I don't know Hayes, North Carolina is far away. I haven't asked my mom or anything..." I said to him.

"Call her right now!" 

"Aren't you going to be late for your flight?"

"I can wait for you. We can book another flight!"

It made me feel special when Hayes said that he would wait for me and that he would book another flight. I really want to go with him and to meet his family. I feel like we just have a great connection and it would get my mind off of Sam. So I take out my phone and dial my moms number.

"Hello." she said.

"Hi mom its T."

"Hey sweetie, hows it going up there. Is something wrong?"

"Not exactly, I have something to ask you."

"What is it?"

"Okay, this might sound crazy but I met this guy and his name is Hayes and hes kinda popular from what he told me, and hes really cute. Mom he asked me to go to North Carolina with him."

"North Carolina!!!?"

"Yeah, its totally safe and I trust him a lot and he has security."

"Do you have clothes or anything, I don't know T, doesn't sound like the greatest idea."

"Please mom, I don't ask for much, and trust me i'll be careful since we both know what happened last time I talked to a guy. I feel like its different with him."

"Well, what about Michelle?" My mom asked me

"Mom, we are girls, she'll understand, she can take my car back."

"I am going to say yes just this once and you need to call me and tell where you are and what you are doing. Okay. I love you. Have fun and be safe!"

"Thank you, thank you mom. I will, and I love you too."

I end the phone call with my mom. I ran up to Hayes and hugged him again.

"So I'm taking the phone call went well!" He said laughing.

Hayes' manager got us a new flight and we both went up to my room to get my stuff. I also had to tell Michelle that I wasn't going back with her. I took my room key out of my lanyard and put it into the door. I opened to and took Hayes' hand. We both walked in and Michelle was on her laptop facetiming her boyfriend Jack.

"Hey Chelle, this is Hayes!" I said as she turned around.

"So this is the guy that you call cute. Hi my name is Michelle nice to meet you!"

"You said I was cute? Nice to meet you Michelle."

"Yes Hayes I might have mentioned that you were cute!"

"Okay, just checking" He said and gave me a winkie face ;)

"Hey Chelle can I talk to you for a moment?"

"Yeah sure!" she said.

I took Michelle into the bathroom and shut the door. I told Hayes to wait outside and he sat down on my bed with his phone.

"So... I have something to tell you. When Hayes and I were eating breakfast this morning he told me that he had to go back to North Carolina to see his family. Just as he was about to leave he turned around and asked me if I wanted to go with him. I called my mom and she said yes but just this once, and then I thought of you. I told my mom that you can take my car back home. Michelle I think that I really like him!" I told her

"Do you think that this is a good idea?" 

"It won't hurt to try, like I told you before he seems different. There is something about him I just can't quite put my finger on."

"Sooo, is that a good thing or a bad thing?"

"I don't know yet, but I see how happy you and Jack are and I don't know, I kind of want that too." I said.

"Aw T, I want you to go. Have a great time!" Michelle said hugging me.

I opened the bathroom door and Hayes was still on his phone.

"Okay, lets get packing!" I told him.

Hayes helped me pack and he tried folding my clothes, but it didn't work out that great. It's the thought that counts right? After about 15 minutes all of my stuff was packed. I left some spare money in my car just in case something happens, so I went outside and got into my car. I look in the glove compartment and took some of the money out.

Michelle and Hayes were in the lobby waiting for me to come back from my car. Michelle was probably going to tell Hayes to keep me safe and to be nice and all that stuff. She does that all the time since my last relationship.

"Are you ready to go?" Hayes asked me.

"Yep, all ready!"

Michelle walks up to me.

"Please be safe and don't get pressured into anything. Text and call me when you can. I love you!" She said.

"I will, promise!"

Hayes grab my suitcase and puts it in the car. He opens the door for me and I 

get in. I am sitting in the right seat behind the passenger and Hayes is sitting in the middle. We start to drive off and I see Michelle wave at me. I wave back and we were off.
