Michael's POV:

"Michael." I hear Luke whisper.

"If you are waking me up for anything other than food or a disaster you better believe you will be killed." I growl into the pillow.

"We got take out." I turn towards the blond boy who is smiling.

"What kind of take out?" I ask, shutting my eyes again.

"Panda Express." He coaxs. I peer at him then looking over at the rest of the room to see that Calum, Ashton, and Alissa are sitting on the couch with food.

"Move." I shove Luke causing him to fall off the bed.

"Geez, you guys have such an abusive relationship." Alissa laughs as Luke groans out in pain.

"Shut up." I mutter stepping over Luke. Approaching the tiny coffee table, I see a styrofoam box with a large M on it. Sitting on the floor, hastily I open the take out box to see it's just the way I like, two orders of orange chicken and chow mein. "Thanks for the food." I say picking up a fork and jabbing into a piece of chicken.

"Easy mate, the chickens already dead." Calum Laughs as he take a bite of rice. I roll my eyes putting the chicken in my mouth.

"Wub bever." I mutter covering my mouth. Alissa laughs and me.

"You are such a grumpy butt when you wake up." She says through her laughter. I fight the urge to grin, instead I chew my food. I hear Luke groan and laugh all at once causing the two other boys to laugh as well. "What I say?" Alissa asks confusedly.

"Grumpy butt?" Calum snickers. "What are we five?"

"No but what else should I call, the thing." she says gesturing towards me. She glares and I return the scowl. Ashton huffs out a breath looking at the ground shaking his head.

"You guys are acting like six year olds." He sighs.

"She started it." I murmur.

"Did not." Alissa growls.

"Did t-"

"Nope they are five Ash." Calum laughs as Luke stands up walking over to us. Luke slumps down next to me. He winces as he holds his knee as he sits. He shoves my shoulder causing me to poke myself in the face with my fork.

"Oi." I say shoving him back becoming more awake than I was. "What the hell was that for." I say rubbing my cheek.

"For pushing me off the fucking bed. Look I got a rug burn." Luke says shoving his elbow in my face. I inspect the slight redness on his forearm. Without thinking I poke the inflamed skin. Luke jerks his arm quickly away from me. "Ow dickhead." the corner of my mouth hitches up.

"Baby." I laugh going back to my food.

"Michael apologizes." I peer my eyes up at Alissa who is now crouching in between Luke and I.

"Yeah Michael, say sorry." Luke pouts. I roll my eyes.

"You're right. I'm sorry you're such a pussy." I say taking another bite of my food. I then feel a hard smack on my bicep causing me to flex. "Luke I swea-"

"That was me dumb fuck." Alissa says already glaring at me. "Now stop being a little bitch, and say you're sorry." She says turning back to luke and looking at his arm. I swear she is pretty much now are personal band nurse.

"No." I say flatly. Looking back to my food. Without warning Alissa yanks my styrofoam container out of my hands. "What the fuck." I look at her confused.

"Say you're sorry and you may eat." She says holding the food out of my reach.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" I say grabbing at the food however she kept it out of reach.

"No. I am in no mood for you to sass me Michael Gordon Clifford so say it or else kiss your chicken goodbye." the room falls silent as the words slip from her mouth. Did she seriously call me by my full name? The only time she did that was when I got in trouble. She was acting like my mum. Looking at her, then my food, and back to her, I could see she was completely serious by the grip she had on the box. It will soon enough break and spill the contents onto the floor if she squeezes the slightest bit tighter.

"Let's talk about this yeah?" I say cautiously.

"There is nothing to talk about. Say you're sorry then eat." She presses. I look one last time at her, I huff out a breath and look at Luke.

"Luke I am sorry for pushing you." I muster out. My eyes then turn towards Alissa who is looking at me with a nervous smile.

"See? Was that so hard?" Alissa asks handing my food over. I hastily snatch the container out of her hands.

"Whatever." I grumble. Alissa looks a me a moment more before looking back at Luke's knee.

"You're going to be fine, you big wuss." Alissa remarks. She pushes herself to where she is now standing. I look up at her as she walks back to her seat besides Calum. She reaches towards the the coffee table grabbing her container of food.

"So what time is sound check?" Calum asks breaking the silence.

"Today's or?" Ashton responds.

"Whichever." Calum asks taking a bite of rice.

"Well Alissa has hers in two hours and ours is two hours after."

"Wait do we practice in the like, arena?" Alissa asks as her eyes widen.

"Well yeah, where else?" Luke says.

"But what about the fans? Won't they hear us?" Alissa says placing her take out on her lap.

"Well we don't do like the actual sound check." Calum says. "It's mostly checking lighting and setting up the instrument stuff. Mostly it's for the benefit of the crew, not really ours." Calum drones.

"Well it's important." Alissa smiles. "I use to do crew for plays, we would be nowhere without them. They can seriously make or break us." She says in a serious tone. "So when do we go over to the venue?" she says leaning into Calums shoulder. I roll my eyes at the display of affections.

"Uhm like a," Luke looks out the nearest window. "Three blocks from here."

"Well that isn't that bad. That probably be a 10 minute walk at the most." Alissa smile at my ditsy friend. I swear my eyes are going to get stuck behind my eyes.

"You really think we can just walk out the door and walk are way to the venue?" I scoff at her ignorance.

"Well duh, yeah we are musicians but that doesn't mean we can't be normal human like everyone else." She growls.

"Sure and we can also walk on the sun." I grumble.

"You do know I have impeccable hearing correct?" Alissa says sitting straight up and glaring daggers at me.

"Sure you do." I shrug her off poking at a piece of orange chicken. "Either way Dave comes to escort us to the venue."

"Fine till then I'm going to go get ready." Alissa pouts. She uses Calum as leverage to get up from her seat on the couch. She walks to the waste bin, throwing her take out away. "See you guys in an hour, maybe two." she laughs in the doorway of the conjoined doors.

"Text me when I can go into the room after you shower. That is if you do." Calum grins at her backside.
