"What's the problem?" Azari asked, motioning me into the room. I held my finger up dashing for one of the two deep, purple, plush chairs positioned in front of his desk my back to the still open door. Seconds of silence passed before we heard the sound of hurried footsteps advancing on the small office. Azari raised an eyebrow at me only to be met with a sheepish grin. I sank down in my seat, silently counting down, '3... 2.... 1...'
"Mr. Takahashi!" A man's voice called out nervously causing me to sink even lower. "We're sorry sir. She ran ri-" Azari raised his hand silencing the man. I felt the heat of the man's glare on the back of my head.
"Just like your mother," he mumbled quietly smiling at me. "Blake. Joseph." Azari greeted politely, "I'm sorry my impatient granddaughter caused such a disturbance. And I'm sorry that she gets it from my side of the family." Azari chuckled, he was right. My dad was a laid back, slow person; he didn't rush. From what I know of my mom she was the Level Two before me, and my personality mirrored hers. I got her short stature and pale, gray eyes, but other than that I looked like my father. "It's fine boys, I'm not at all busy. Tell Naomi to rest easy." He smiled sweetly at the door behind me, dismissing the men.
"Sorry Blake!" I yelled from the chair. I heard a grunt and a 'Hey what about me!' as the men retreated. "Okay Grandpa, we have a serious problem." Azari's pale, silver eyes were cleared of any playfulness that resided there previously replaced with a hard, worry-like appearance.
"What happened?" He scanned my face with concern. "Did that L boy do something? Are you pregnant?" I stared at him in horror.
"Wha- Preg- Grandpa!" I shot up in my seat looking down at my stomach. I wasn't anime thin, not even a little bit, but I wasn't fat either. I was thick, as in busty and I had a stomach to match, but I never thought that I looked pregnant I like my body. "Do I look pregnant? Me getting pregnant would be a problem?"
"No! Not at all! I just-" His eyes went alarmingly wide, fear spread across his face. "You see I just assumed because you were in a hurry and-" I howled with laughter at my Grandpa's worried expression; Gram's you taught him well. My laughter died quickly as I remembered why I was there.
Coughing quickly I dismissed the light nature of the room, "Seventy-Three scripts went missing during filming, most of which were mains." Azari stared at me shocked. "And the back ups I keep in my office are gone. Someone stole them, typed and hand written."
"Someone broke into your house? Are you okay? Did Ciel and Sebastian come in town, and stay with you? Are they okay? What about L, is he fine?" I rolled my eyes quickly, waving my hand in front of my face.
"As far as I know they'refine, but that's not the point." I groaned, "We have to let the Normals know that this week's shows can't be released! It's going to take me all week to rewrite this many scripts again."
"I'm glad you're taking job seriously, but be safe." His eyes reflected genuine worry.
I sighed leaning foreword, placing my elbows on my knees, head in hands I looked him in the eyes. "I'm in a situation that could determine whether A.W lives peacefully or falls into, simply put, dispair. I don't have time to worry about my safety or anything other than fixing the problem we have. I am the only person who can fix it, and I need to do that as quickly as possible." I paused taking a breath standing up swiftly, "Please contact the production mangers for each of the Normals companies, and let them know we're having difficulties. I need to get back home, and get started. I love you." I spun and hurried out of the room, maneuvering through bodies much slower than when I came heading back to my vehicle. 'We're leaving.' I texted L quickly exiting the building.
'At the car already.' He replied quickly. I raced around the corner to the parking lot that my big, midnight blue truck. There he stood next to it, his black hair stood out next to his pale skin.
'He is so hot, and mine. Yess score.' I thought to myself unlocking the car so that he could slid in as I ran towards him. Sliding in the drivers side seat I started the car. The car ride home was a very, very silent one. It consisted of me speeding, and L clinging onto the seat belt for his life. When we reached my house I was greeted by a crowd of people rushing my into the door. There were definitely more people here than there were when I left. When I left there was: Obito, My Dad, Sasuke for some reason, Tazai, Sebastian, and Ciel. Now there was those five and Naruto, Sango, Kirara, and Levi. The group pulled me into the house and started fussing. "Why are you all here?" My question came out colder than it was meant to. "Never mind," I sighed, "Don't break anything, I have to work." Before anyone could disagree I dashed up the stairs and into my study. Shutting the door I strode over to my desk pulling out a stack of plain, white, printer paper and a pencil.
I set the papers in front of me noticing a list of names in the top right corner of my desk, climbing into my chair I closed my eyes. A small vibration pulsed throughout my ears as I searched my brain for the scripts of the people on the list. I may have left out a tiny detail about Level Two's. There's an ability called, Storing, that is taught to every Level Two. It gives us the power to permanently store anything we've experienced or seen in our life, and draw it back anytime we need too. My eyes flew open and my right hand began moving across the paper. I've been told, by L, that my pale gray eyes turn gold when I do this and my silvery hair "glows." He says it creeps him out.
I saw red liquid splash next to the paper on the desk. I extended my hand to my face it came away wet and stained with blood. Blood? I'm bleeding? Why? The ability faltered, surprise overcoming my senses. Shaking my head sharply I tried to reactivate it, but a sharp sensation took over my head making me scream out in pain. 'What is this?'
