Delilah

"Delilah sweetie! Can you come down here please?" I heard my mom call. I paused my xbox, took a sip of tea and hurried down the stairs to see what she wanted. I never really understood how I was their child when I don't look like them one bit but oh well.

"Yes?" I asked, sitting on the couch across from my parents. They looked..weird. What the hell is going on?

"We have some..news to tell you." My dad said, hesitantly.

"Honey, you are..adopted of some sort." My mom sugar coated this I know it.

"What do you mean 'of some sort'?" I exclaimed. What the fuck did they do? I'm not something to be dwelled on..

"We kind of stole you from your birth parents." My dad replied, reaching to touch my arm. I flinched back and ran upstairs. How could they do this to me? Why would they? I locked my door, despite the yells and bangs. I couldn't deal with this.

I started packing a bag full of the necessities to survive. I unlocked my door, pushed past my "parents" and walked into the kitchen. I stuffed some food and water into the bag and walked back up the stairs. Greg, my "dad", stopped me.

"And just where  do you think you're going?" He asked. I pulled my arm out of his grasp.

"Oh nowhere you need to know about." I spat and ran into my room fastly. I closed and locked the door and rounded up a few more things, closed the bag and jumped out the window. Once I landed, I ran as fast as I could into the woods.

Once I ran far enough to stop, I stopped and opened  the bag. I always bought medieval or fairytale like clothes. They always felt more natural to me. One of the outfits was even fit for a pirate. I changed into one of the outfits.

I grabbed a random black cloak and zipped the bag back up

I grabbed a random black cloak and zipped the bag back up. It was a ball gown but it surely did work better than modern day clothes. I could run more easy, fight more easy, it was all more easy for me. I realized after a while of running and walking that I was heading into Maine.

I was literally following my instincts. I have no clue why it was Maine but whatever is there, I have a feeling it may be my birth parents. I'm going to find them no matter how long it takes. I can't blame them for anything in my life so far. Those people, Greg and Mary, stole  me from having a happy life.

I'm going to change that whether anyone likes it anymore.

I'm sorry it's so short, I just wanted a little intro I guess. But here's the first chapter. The coming chapters will be longer and if they're short I will tell you the reason. Anyway, that's all.

Stay Street!

Bye!
