Delilah
I ran for hours on end. The gown started to get uncomfortable so I stopped and changed again in a nearby McDonald's.

People stared at me like I was weird or from another world but I honestly didn't care. These clothes felt natural, comfortable and they were easier for my life. I threw away my modern day clothes and pulled out some money. I walked up to the register and waited until it was my turn."Hi! What can I get you?" A girl around my age asked nicely.
"Can I have a big Mac with fries and a sweet tea please?" I replied.
"Sure thing. That'll $7.65." She replied. I handed her the money and waited. Once I got my food and drink, I sat down outside and ate. I got up to throw my stuff in the trash and turned to leave before I heard somebody call out to me.
"Hey! Lady that's dressed like a peasant! Wait!" I spun around and waited. It was the girl that gave me my order and shit. She stopped in front of me and panted. After a few minutes, she stood back up.
"Yes?" I chuckled.
"Why are you dressed like that?" She laughed.
"It's just more natural, comfortable and flexible." I replied, shrugging. A smile was plastered on my face.
"I know how you feel. Where would you be going at a time like this?" The girl questioned, looking up.
"Well, um, I'm running away from home to find my real parents." I replied, rolling my eyes at the thought.
"Well, do you mind if I uh join you? I'd love to run from that damn foster home I live in." The girl asked, looking annoyed at the mentioned of her home.
"Sure. I'd love some company." I smiled. The girl smiled back and we began walking.
"We'd probably have to stop at-" She started.
"No. You look about my size. You can borrow some of these clothes if you don't mind this type of stuff." I cut her off, chuckling. She smiled.
"You'd do that? Thank you so much! Of course I don't mind that style. It's more flexible, natural and comfortable for me too." We laughed and stopped in the woods. It was well past midnight and she needed to change.
"Here you go." I handed her a dress and cloak.
"Thank you!" She replied and changed quickly, abandoning her modern day clothes in the bushes.
"If you don't mind me asking, what is your name?" I laughed.
"It's Syker." The girl, Syker, laughed along with me.
"Well I'm Delilah." I smiled. We both walked a bit further in silence, crossing through another state border. We climbed a tree and rested for a while. It was a giant oak tree. We were at least in Ohio by now. It's only about 2-3 more days to Maine.
"Goodnight Del." Syker yawned and rested her head against the tree.
"Goodnight Syk." I replied, falling asleep quickly.
