As the mortal steps closer, I get into a crouch. I an feel my tentacles seeping out of my back, resting on the floor until I use them.

"What do you have hidden here? I heard you talking to someone. Is there another person here?" the one approaching asks. "Hello? You don't have to be shy!"

I tense, alreading raising my black weapons. Me? Shy? Please!

"It's nothing of your concern, I assure you," Tar says with practiced calm wih just the tiniest pinch of panic. The footsteps get nearer and nearer to me. I ready my tendrils for striking.

"Not yet," I whisper. "You won't find me, idiot human." A smirk finds its way to my lips as I quickly weave a black web in front of the humsn. Any minute now~.

He steps on it.

SCORE!

The human toples over as I tangle him like a spider would a fly. I think I'll call this one Stuart. You know like that one minion in Despicable Me? No? Doesn't ring a bell? Not even the tiniest dead one? Fine then! I punch his temple without holding back. Okay, maybe I held back a little. Anyways, it knocked Stuart out.

I don't even glance at Tar as I say ever so calmly, "Might wanna close and lock the door next time you decide to pay me a visit."

Tar carries Stuart out of the room without a word. He looks back at me once he's at the doorway and says, "I must go to work now, Number 96. I'll be back by tea time this afternoon."

Yes, I think to myself grumpily as Tar closes the door, and leave me here bored to death! I don't even know what the guy does for a job. For all I know, he could be a male prostitute! Yeah that's right Lori and all you dirty-minded readers. I said prositute. I know you're reading too! Don't think I don't know. I've got my eyes on you. Well, I don't know if I can have my eyes on you when I'm just an anime ghost...

Already, I can sense humans crowding the site of last night in a panic. I sit on the crate that I always keep by my window and sigh. I rest my completely black arms on the windowsill. No, wait. I take back the completely black part. My body would be completely black is not for the aqua-colored markings all around my body made more noticeable because of the fact that I'm the color of a flopping black hole. Just imagine Astral but black with red curvy marks going from my center marks then sweeping out then curving to under my eyes...that or you can go in Google and search "Yugioh Zexal Black Mist." That would be an easier way. Just saiyan. Get it? The saiyans from Dragon Ball Z? No? Okay, I'll stop.

I watch as humans near the house and walk casually by, unaware that they're close to an evil and dangerous being. What I would give to roam around like them, but an Agent is located here, trying to get me back to my prison. I won't let that happen. I'm not going back there. Never.

I don't get it. Why do the Light Agents get to roam around freely while the ones who've escaped have to hide? It's not fair at all. But then, since when have I ever thought anything was fair?

Finally, I think to myself, Fuck it! I'll die if I don't go out soon. Any more than those hours, an I'd go insane.

I slip out the window, careful to stay within the confines of the shadows, which are beginning to shorten due to it being almost noon. Even though it's a scorching Summer day (I can tell because those creatures out there are perspiring like crazy), my body remains the same temperature, which is pretty chilly for me. Spirits like Astral and me don't feel alien temperatures in alien planets. Well, alien to us. I sneak along the ever-shortening shadows, taking in the sights of the human world in daylight. I have to admit, it does look...brighter. The light hurts my eyes, though. Serves me right for keeping to the shadows.

Just as my eyes begin to adjust to the bright light assaulting them, I feel a sharp pang in the back of my head.

Oh, shit...
