I perch at the top of the tallest building in the other half of the city. I frown. Damn that Astral! Why can't he just stay dead! Now, Tar's dead due to too much smoking, and I have no place to stay. I told him he had to get off his smoking habit!

I look up at the moon, which is completely full and bright. Dark clouds surround it in a ring with many layers. A werewolf's moon, I suppose. It looks back down at me, as if saying, "You done goofed." (Team Four Star's Hellsing abridged reference!)

"Shut up," I growl at it. "It's not like you're very impressive. What's the purpose of a moon, anyways? All you ever do is sit there in the night sky."

"It keeps us in place and maintains our climate. Without it, we would be dead," a teenaged female voice says.

I whip around quickly and grab her neck. "Who are you?" I growl.

Upon close inspection, the girl is nothing special. Her hair is green with lighter highlights in her bangs, which swing to the right in a puffy manner. Something resembling a bun sits on the left side of her head and held in by a pink ribbon. She wears a pink dress and her eyes are a slightly lighter shade of orange than mine.

"K-Kotori Mizuki," she answers, trying to breathe.

"Why are you here?"

"I-I saw y-you and wanted to see wh-who it was."

I let go of her and turn away. I grin. "Tell me, do you know Yuma Tsukumo?"

"No, not really,"  Kotori answers, rubbing her neck.

Perfect. The less she knows, the less will hold her back.

"Kotori, how would you like to find him for me?" I turn back to her and wave my hand hypnotically. "What do you say?"
